Since 2006, the Rebels have started 9, 6, 9, 8, 8, 5, 7, 9, 7, 7, 4, 2, and 3 white players. They look to tie their all-time low of two. No word yet on when they’ll get their invite from Grambling or Southern to join to SWAC.

Offense
NONE

Defense
Connor Murphy – DL
Vic Viramontes – LB

Two Deeps
Tate Martell - QB

I’d be surprised if Martell doesn’t start. Maybe Chad Magyar can get some carries like he did a couple years ago. UNLV seems to be a hot transfer destination, Viramontes and Murphy were highly rated recruits who started out at Cal and USC.

I do believe Martell walked on at UNLV. He’s the most talented qb on the roster but needs to keep his head on straight.

Looking through UNLV's roster and it might be the least white in the country among FBS. That said, as others pointed out, Martell should take over as starter at some point and Magyar will hopefully get some carries. He's had a big game or two in the past.

Took a look at UNLVs Win/Loss record since 2005 and they are a combine 51-143 in that time span. Overall a really bad program history from 1982 to the present - the last 40 years. Somehow they are able to maintain eligibility in division 1 football and not be forced to down to the FCS. The only winning season since 2005 was back in 2013 when they went 7-6.

Ouch! Those numbers are rough.

So Martell officially done? What a dud of a career.

Not sure if Martell is done - I think he walked on and has been injured. Agreed on his disappointing career though. I wonder if Arroyo gets another season...he's been garbage as a head coach but that's the theme for UNLV over the past 40 years.

Good to hear he's still around. Hoping Martell can put something together here to somewhat salvage his career.

Not sure how much goes on Arroyo. I've noticed a lot of the White Hispanic coaches still adhere to the caste logic. Not exactly fair to our guys. Hard to feel bad for these schools as they never switch up their recruiting philosophy aka more blue collared recruits.
