The official results show Beck as a qualifier.
Small 'q' as one of the 2 fastest non-automatic qualifiers. Big 'Q' for Boling - automatic qualifier as one of the top 3 in his quarter final heat.

Cole Beck with the 12th and final qualifier from the East regional to go to the NCAA Championship.
It will be a fast track in Oregon and Beck and Boling have a great chance to get new Pb’s

Matt Boling with a 20.16 to win his heat.

It was an average race but and I know the top two shut it down before the line but Boling still looks a little off. Not sure exactly why but he
made it to the NCAA National Championships in the 100 and 200 meters so we have to be happy with that. I say it all the time. We have to
be patient. I' get so pumped everytime he races and I need to slow down my huge expectations. He will do amazing things. The kid already has
it's just we want it so bad right now. In Eugene, Oregon I agree that Boling and Beck have a great opportunity to both post personal bests on the
highest stage in collegiate track & field.

Right now, Zachary Jewell looks to be running better than both Boling and Beck.

I am waiting to see what he does in the quarter finals of the West regionals, which have a weather delay at the moment.

He is off because he is overtraining. He is tight all over and it shows. Matt says he is putting in two-and-a third hours per day / 6 days a week. (14 hours per week) with a college class schedule. Carl Lewis said he put in 8 hours per week as a pro. Valeriy Borzov put in 9 hours per week.

Jackson Webb qualified in the prelims on Wed, but Friday night's events were postponed for some reason.

I don't.
But I will go to youtube tomorrow and check.
I found the East regionals 'live' on youtube today.

Jackson Webb and Zachary Jewell are both running in the quarter-finals.
There were lightning storms today, so they will try to run all the remaining men and women events tomorrow (Saturday).

Bad news and good news. First off Jackson Webb DNF in the mens 100 meters. Haven't seen the races so I don't know what happened? Also Zachary Jewell finished in 4th place in his heat of the mens 100 meters Quarter Finals. That's
the bad news. The good news is that Zachary Jewell finally ran a new personal best time of 10.17 +1.6 :) This is a very, very fast time. Congrats to the kid. He is capable of going much faster and he will be going to the national
championships in Eugene, Oregon. I hope he continues his track career. As for Jackson Webb I also hope he finds a way to keep running after he graduates. Both of these sprinters have been fun to follow both indoors and outdoors!

Unfortunately, more bad news.... after running a wind legal 10.17 in the 100m, Zach Jewell DNF in the 200m.
I don’t know what happened, but it can't be good news.

I hope Zach Jewell is ok. Again I didn't see the races so hopefully it was just precautionary in the 200 meters like a cramp or slight pulled muscle, etc. Hopefully he will still compete for the West Team at the Nat'l Champs.

Still no sight of Emilie Erasmus? Also Devin Quinn has not competed in about 3 weeks? Not sure if we will see Erasmus anymore this summer but Quinn has to get into some races soon. Would like to see alot more ot Filippo Tortu
and many of the other top European Sprinters? With Covid it's really got the season off to a slow start in Europe. That doesn't bode well in an Olympic Year. Only two months away.

I just watched Webb and Jewell's races.... Webb pulled a hamstring.
Jewell ran a great race and was a clear 2nd, until the last 5 meters. He appeared to ease up and 2 guyd slipped past him.
I suspect he felt a niggle and then eased off. I can't imagine he would ease off otherwise.
Unfortunately, if he did feel a niggle, it may have got him in the 200m where he did not finish the race.

He pulled up in the 200m but it didn’t look like anything serious, he just eased up and walked off the track without limping etc

Could you please post a video of the 100 meters race with Zachary Jewell? Thanks.
