Sad fall for Stanford. There is no more “Stanford way” as Shaw has replaced the winning formula at the program.

Weird. I wonder how much this has to do with falling academic standards. Stanford coaches used to boast about their handicap that they could only recruit about 15% of the high school player pool. Stanford always had the highest academic thresholds for D1 athletes - along with Northwestern, and to a lesser extent, Notre Dame and Michigan are the only four schools I recall who made a point to hold admittance standards for athletes above the bare minimum.

Hopefully we see a few of our guys emerge during fall camp. @TwentyTwo did a nice job of capturing some of the under the radar players. Ourlads has certainly shown itself to have anti-White bias over the years.

As for recruiting - what has changed? Not just for Stanford but across the board. Lax academic standards? Actual recruiting methods? Do most schools now rely on attendees of the scouting events that occur for HS kids rather than do the legwork and actually cover a whole region to find players? I’m talking about camps like the elite 11. I do not know the details about how a player is able to attend - is it invitation only? These camps seem be giving football more of a basketball feel in terms of recruits. Through the 2000s there seems to be some stability but the drop off in White football players since the early 2010s is hard to ignore. It’s just amazing to me no one else seems to question this or care at all.

Pathetic. Several years ago Shaw was on top of the coaching world(along with Harbaugh) now both should be on the hot seat in 2021! Zero White Defenders for Stanford is blasphemy!

Shaw seems to be very much immune to criticism. From an outsiders perspective the only way he will leave Stanford is if he gets offered one of the lucrative college jobs or jumps to the NFL. He was a very successful coach from 2011-2016. For the first 3-4 years his roster was certainly made up of recruits that fit the program Haurbaugh built up - dominant o-line and strong defense. Since 2016 he has been a fairly average coach.

Definitely riding the success of his Whiter Team's earlier in his career. Of course he's been immune to criticism. At least we call it out!

Shaw is toast. He should’ve jumped to the NFL after gravy training on Harbaugh’s players. Now he’s going to get fired and end up at a mid major.

Don't worry about Shaw, he'll land on his feet. He's already a fixture on ESPN's coverage of the NFL Draft, he'll easily get a gig there or with the NFL Network if he wants to go that route. And if he leaves Stanford and keeps coaching he'll be hired by a major program or by an NFL team. He's the kind of well-spoken Black the fake news media will go berserk over if he wants to coach in the NFL and isn't immediately hired.

Looks like Ethan Bonner is listed as the starting CB going into the Kansas St game.

Tucker Fisk will be a two player at both TE and reserve DE.

RB Casey Filkins listed as 3rd string "or" - he's also listed as 2nd string KR and "or" for PR

Surprised OLB Thunder Keck is not listed on the two deep.
