Since 2005, Notre Dame have started 10, 11, 11, 11, 10, 10, 11, 11, 9, 8, 6, 8, 8, 5, 9 and 9 white starters. They stay at 9 for 2020.

Notre Dame goes from independent to ACC team for football this year. If this team had a starting DB they would be very similar to the early Charlie Weis years - those were some of my favorite football teams.

Ian Book returns for his final season. One of the best QBs in college football with next level talent. He gets some help with talented WR transfer Ben Skowronek from Northwestern. Pretty sure Liam Eichenberg and Tommy Kraemer are projected to be high draft picks on the OL.

Players to look watch out for include QB Brendon Clark, QB Drew Pyne (4 star recruit - will hopefully pick up where Book leaves off), the whole 2nd string O-line is a snow plow, LB Bo Bauer

Offense
QB Ian Book
WR Ben Skowronek
TE Brock Wright
LT Liam Eichenberg
C Jarret Patterson
RG Tommy Kraemer
RT Robert Hainsey

Defense
DT Kurt Hinish
LB Drew White

Notre Dame seems to be an uptrending team. 9/17 recruits for 2020 are overachievers with 7/18 for 2021 and so far 3/3 for 2022.

They do have a half asian QB coming in - ideally Pyne becomes the starter for the next 3-4 years and this guy never sees the field.

Thanks Leonardfan. During Brian Kelly's reign I have seen some good things but something always keeps me from completely buying in. This season looks to follow that pattern. He got banged up last year but Edge sophomore Jack Lamb shows great promise as a disrupter and should see the field especially in pass rushing situations.

Sharp eye Aus2G. Yes things are looking up.

Came across this article on sophomore WR Jay Brunelle, a three-star recruit. Calls him "speedy" right in the headline so it definitely caught my eye.

No. 81 Jay Brunelle, speedy sophomore receiver

Great article but in todays Amerikka don't be suprised if the reporter is fired for calling a white guy fast. Heck a white guy could be the fastest man in the world but they would still say he brings his lunch pail with him.
