Andrew Golota the boxer? One of my great disappointments ever in sport was when he folded like a deck chair in the first round against Lennox Lewis in 1997. I was sure he had the talent and toughness to defeat the pompous Jamaican-Canadian-Brit (depending on what day it was) Lewis. I stayed up to about 3 or 4am British time to watch it and was fuming at Golota's meltdown. It was a complete embarrassment.

Of course. But it only lasted about a minute and a half. Golota showed he wasn't ready for prime time as Lewis took him apart. I seem to recall a terrified look on Golota's face at the end of it.
Federer played brilliant tennis to defeat Murray in four sets. It's his 7th Wimbledon singles title, 17th Grand Slam victory, and he's back again as the number one ranked player in the world at almost 31 years of age. Quite a tournament for Roger, who adds to his legend as the best tennis player ever.

The Connors-Borg-McEnroe era was some of the finest tennis that you’ll ever see (even with the old wood and metal racquets - ). When all is said and done and the smoke clears this era, with the big three, is every bit as stupendous, if not more. The records and stats these men are compiling today are overwhelming. The quality of tennis and the amount of incredible shots executed are at a level unimaginable. Tennis is blessed.
