this little piece of potential good news tainted by rotoworld commentary/assesment of Bolen:

Jaguars signed FB Brock Bolen off their practice squad.

He's an undrafted rookie from Louisville. A poor man's version of Brian Leonard, Bolen isn't much of a ball-carrying option or lead blocker at 6'0/233.

the Jags defense is being sliced up by the Surgeon General (trademarked!

) from Indianapolis, Peyton Manning ... but Sean Considine and rookie linebacker Russell Allen are playing well for the home team.

Considine had a HUGE hit in the first quarter.Edited by: Jimmy Chitwood

Garrard had several horrible passes towards the end of the game, a drive that could have put them ahead with under a minute left for the Colts, the last pass intercepted. The worst the announcers said was "the ball just got away from him" (they said this on bad passes back to back.)Whats wrong with saying someone had a horrible throw when the guy had a horrible throw? Or does the ball have a mind of its own when its in Garrard's hands?

Garrard played well all game -- except when he tried to throw it downfield, and then he was scattershot. Another black quarterback who can only run a dink 'n dunk offense, and even then Jones-Drew is ahuge factor in making it work.

Yet another black buston defenseis end Derrick Harvey of the Jaguars. The 8th pick of the first round in 2008 managed a colossal 2 sacks in 16 starts last year. He may be supplanted by the team's latest great black hope. From Rotoworld:
Jaguars.com's Vic Ketchman expects fifth-round pick Austen Lane to give Derrick Harvey "some serious competition" to be the team's starting left end. Lane was an incredibly productive college pass rusher at Murray State, and at 6'6/274 possesses an ideal build to play strong-side end in the Jaguars' 4-3 defense. Harvey has shown very little as a rusher. At the least, Harvey is expected to be replaced by Lane or Larry Hart on passing downs.

Jaguars signed Teddy Lehman, a once promising Lions LB whose career was cut short by an injury, he was out of the league last year.

Reggie Hayward done in Jacksonville
Posted on: July 7, 2010 4:46 pm

The only significant name included in the batch of six players cut today by the Jacksonville Jaguars is defensive end Reggie Hayward. The 31-year-old missed all of last season with a broken shin. Thanks to injuries, Hayward's five-year stint in Jacksonville was somewhat disappointing.

Hayward left the Broncos and signed a hefty long-term contract with the Jaguars in 2005. He recorded 8.5 sacks that first year, but then tore his Achilles in Week 1 of 2006. He never fully regained his quickness and burst after that, failing to record more than 4.5 sacks in a single season.

After no success on the free agent market this past spring, Hayward re-signed with the Jags in a low-paying one-year contract. At this point, it looks like his career is over.

Since football is a violent sport, I've always felt that it makes "no sense" to exclude thousands upon thousands of able-bodied White men. Does anyone else think this is really odd?...

Hayward always had horrendous tackling numbers. He had 3 seasons of decent sack totals from '03 to '05; this was enough, after the '04 season, for him to be given a huge contract by Blacksonville. His last four seasons he had a total of 39 tackles -- combined. Another black "star" that a team threw a ridiculous amount of money away on based on hype and "potential."

In other team news, WR Chris McGaha didn't even make it to training camp as he was cut yesterday. He should have been a second day draft choice in April but ended up as a free agent and treated worse than a junkyard dog by the NFL. He may kick around on the fringes of several more teams over the next couple of years, but he's a 10,000 to 1 shot now of ever getting a genuine opportunity.

Damnitt, another skilled and athletic white WR about to go down the caste black hole.

From Rotoworld:

Jaguars claimed WR John Matthews off waivers from the Colts.
<div ="s_pNewsTextMain"> Matthews, who starred at non-scholarship
D-IAA San Diego, will enter Jags camp very low on the depth chart.
He'll be lucky to make the practice squad.

We know it will be almost impossible for him to see the field but at least he has a slight chance unlike dozens of other talented white receivers. Matthews has good speed and runs a 4.53 40.

The Jags decision to stick with Garrard has been very puzzling to me, for a team that needs to sell tickets and win. I was surprised they did not draft Tebow or Clausen. I would not be shocked if they make another preseason trade like they did for McCown last year. McCown should be startng over Garrard, he is a better QB. I think it might be a ploy to move them out of Jacksonville(not that I care).
