I was flipping around the dial today (I have Direct TV Sunday Ticket), and saw Stewart Bradley get called for a late hit to QB Trent Edwards' head. The announcers were all over him, saying that this was a costly penalty, "you just can't do those things," etc. Bradley was immediately pulled from the game, and I saw first some black coach and then Porky Reid chew him out on the sidelines. My guess is he didn't go back in the game anytime soon after that (but I don't know, because I turned that game off in disgust). What a double standard- EVERY game is filled with stupid, boneheaded plays made by black players. They are never pulled from the game like that and chewed out publicly.

Yes, we've seen black players do incredibly stupid things on the field and their coaches take it in stride. The announcers and coaches go berserk - only - when whie players are the offenders. I'm starting to really hate the double standards in football. Oh, I just remembered something I saw during the Pats - Giants game. Thegrossly fat a$$ sumo V. Wilfork actually tried topoke someone in the eyes with his stubby fingers. He reminded me of the Three Stooges.

Bill Cowherespecially loved to bully and humiliate white kickers but never chewed out black players no matter how bone-headed a play they would make. He was the most classless coach I had ever seen when he took over after Chuck Noll, also the most whiggerish.

Actually, Rodney Harrison got pulled in the Pats game for acting stupid (as usual). Maybe Bellichick is one of the few coaches that actually how control on his team?

BTW, Don is 110% right about Bill Cowher having no class. He was a grade-A *******. However, only when dealing with white players. Should he coach another team in the future (I'm positive he will) it will be a DARK day for that franchise and for CF.

The Eagles have put the franchise tag on TE L. J. Smith, who was injured for most of last season. It would have been nice to see Philly let Smith go and start Brent Celek in '08, who showed nice hands and excellent after the catch running ability in limited use as a rookie. But this is Andy Reid's team after all, and he probably agrees with the drunk whitefans and the Caste clown journalists that the major problem with the Eagles offense is that wide receiver who had a mere 77 receptions for over 1,100 yards and 6 TDs in '07.

A few Eagles Roster updates as of the end of the season and pre-draft free agency period:

-WR Michael Gasperson was a member of the active roster for the game @ New Orleans in week 15. Gasperson was thrown to only once, for an incompletion. He is currently still on the roster. Perhaps one day I'll tell my children of the time when 2 of the 3 wide receivers on the field for the Eagles were white.

-DT/FB Dan Klecko (Free Agent, Colts) was tendered to a two year contract. The Eagles plan to convert him to a full-time fullback and is the front-runner for the job.

-OLB Rocky Boiman (Free Agent, Colts) was tendered to a one year contract.

-DE A.J. Schable (Free Agent, Cardinals) was tendered to a two year contract.

-OLB Takeo (Overrated) Spikes was released.

-LB Stewart Bradley is almost unanimously projected to be the starter in the middle next year, with Chris Gocong on the strong side (who I believe is at least part white, and I generally pretend he is!).

Disappointing pieces of news:

-OLB Matt McCoy was released and picked up by the Saints, which upped their white linebacker total to 5 at the time. The "Snow Patrol" I believe it's called?

-SS Sean Considine is projected to be a White Special Teams Demon, being supplanted at SS by Quentin Mikell after suffering a shoulder injury (from hitting people too hard, presumably).

He is a personal favorite of mine, for I can sympathize. As an undersized white safety myself, I love the way he moves in the open field and tackles so violently. I hope he can challenge the overhyped and underperforming Quentin Mikell for the starting job.

-TE LJ Smith was given the franchise tag.

-Many Philadelphia Eagles mock drafts exist and none of them show the Eagles drafting a white athlete at all. Normal Caste doubts aside, that's just ridiculous.

Personally, I thought it was funny that the press gushed over the signings of CB Asante Samuel and DE Chris Clemons but made close to no mention of Boiman or Klecko. Many sources proclaim Samuel and Clemons are guaranteed roster spots while stating that Boiman and Klecko may only turn out to be "training camp fodder" to stimulate competition. We shall see.

Welcome to the boards, Philly. I didn't realize the Eagles picked up A.J. Schable. I'm surprised, I wonder if they intend to use him at his natural DE position or continue the FB experiment that the Cardinals started.

I think Considine is a very good player and a more than capable starter in the NFL. Unfortunately, if an NFL defense is having any problems, it is standard operating procedure to scapegoat a white safety first, if available.

It looks like Boiman will be challenging Chris Gocong for the SAM spot, unfortunately.

The eagles, after bragging about that loser LJ Smith, brought in Kris Wilson from Kansas City to compete at TE. Wilson's amazing stats over 4 years : 42 passes for 345 yards and four touchdowns as a tight end, H-back and fullback.

LJ Smith is totally overrated and should be replaced by Brent Celek who made him look bad last year. The guy was average when healthy, and he hasnt been healthy for a while - 2004/5 to be exact.

McNabb had temporarily stopped his bellyaching with the additions of Asante Samuel and Chris Clemons, but still literally begs for a top flight wide receiver. In light of the Chad Johnson circus, the seemingly-defunct discussion has been given new life.

What? Oh yeah, Kevin Curtis is the second WR.

The Eagles refuse to let LJ go, despite an injury-plagued 2007. Brent Celek saw significant time and is, without a doubt, the TE of the future. The Eagles seem, as always, reluctant to let a white player replace a black one as a starter. Time to face the music, IMO.
