The SEC lineups are usually so depressing to look at, so NFL-like.. .

This is true Don. I am hoping there is still one SEC team that is half white this year, but I'm not holding my breath. We went from 2 in 2005 to 1 in 2006.

that's actually even worse than NFL... your average NFL team will have something like 2-3 o-linemen, QB, TE, a DE and one LB.

Vanderbilt will most likely be the only SEC team to come close to half white.. who else may come close, Kentucky?

I have nothing but contempt for most SEC schools and their airhead White fans.

A number of stud recruits in this past years 2007 class for Auburn were
white (more than half), which is - sadly - amazing for an SEC team.

I won't be suprised if Lee Ziemba ( big tackle from Arkansas) and Chaz
Ramsey, don't play on the OL immieditely.

Auburn is slowly recruiting more and more whites, even though Tuberville
is the king of the caste system.

Look for about eight of the 22 starters to be white by kickoff against K-
State.

A number of players have been declared academically ineligible already
and this will open the door for a few white starters on defense, espcially
at linebacker.

It will be weird not seeing Will Herring patrol the defensive side of the ball
for the first time in four years (started as a freshmen in 2003). Thankfully,
he'll get a chance to shine in the NFL.

By 2008, Auburn will be close if not exceed half white starters. Fun team
to watch in the future.

Agreed. I would love to see a Big 10 vs. SEC showdown like the Big 10 vs. ACC yearly basketball showdown. I would love to see the Buckeyes or Badgers or Hawkeyes go down to Alabama or Georgia and whip up on those southern boys!!!

Well, I'd love to see them play the southern boys too, but for now we'll have to settle for them taking on the fieldhands.Edited by: KG2422

warrior16, I hope you are right about Auburn getting whiter, but having at least half white starters within the next couple of seasons is highly unlikely, in my humble opinion, and thus I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for it. I'm not trying to be a downer, but the reality of the Caste System, Tommy Tub-O-Lies, and Auburn itself tell me that will be a long shot at best. On the other hand, as an infamous black guy often says, keep hope alive!

It was great to see 3 White true freshman on the O-line against Florida.

RT Lee Ziemba was 1 of them and he is athletic and impressive, unlike the lard-ass sumo blacks.

G Chaz Ramsey from the state of Mississippi and G/C Ryan Pugh were the other 2 true frosh. I suspect Pugh was playing guard.

Anyhow, I clearly saw 4 White's on the O-line --- an O-line that might just be the Whitest in the SEC this year.

It was also great to see the White true frosh kicker get the victory!

Auburn is still a joke! Besides Will Herring can anybody even recall the last time they had a white defensive starter. This school is pathetic!

I agree with you completely, whiteCB. That and the fact that I can't stand Tommy Tuberville.

AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - Auburn defensive end Antonio Coleman was treated and released from a hospital Saturday, a few hours after he was taken off the field in an ambulance during the Tigers' scrimmage.

Coleman sustained a cervical sprain and had full mobility in his extremities by Saturday afternoon, Auburn spokesman Kirk Sampson said. He is expected to make a full recovery.

The injury looked scarier, though. Coleman lay face down at Jordan-Hare Stadium for at least 15 minutes before he was immobilized and placed on a stretcher to be taken to the East Alabama Medical Center.

"He doesn't have a lot of feeling right now," coach Tommy Tuberville said shortly after Coleman's injury. "They said it's starting to come back. He was moving some."

Coleman was matched up against left tackle Lee Ziemba when he was injured and the action continued after the whistle blew ending the play.

"I didn't see it happen," quarterback Kodi Burns said. "I saw them getting in a fight, but I didn't know what was going on. Usually the coaches break it up.

"It's just real competitive out here, and guys were getting after each other. Sometimes you go after the whistle, even though you're on the same team."

Coleman lay motionless on the stretcher with his neck immobilized and his helmet still on as he was placed in the ambulance to cheers of support from a few hundred fans watching from the stands.

He led the Tigers with 18 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks as a sophomore in his first season as a starter.

Coleman's injury prompted Tuberville to end the scrimmage after about 130 plays.

"It's tough. It's tough to see kids lay there," he said. "This is a physical sport. AC goes full-speed the whole time, and you hate to see somebody go off the field like that. He's a tough kid. He's one of the leaders of this group."

Lee Ziemba is the SEC's "version" of Jake Long.

They are both about the same size and they are both powerful, cognizant and explosive run-blockers.

Ziemba's athleticism is second to none, and he has 20-times the endurance of his sumo counterparts (on both sides of the line). And, he absolutely FINISHES the play.

If the SEC wants to make a legitimate claim of being the top conference, they would need several more super-athletic (and strong) White giants at ALL the line positions.

The greats who built the game would be proud of Jake Long and Lee Ziemba; 2 actual ATHLETES and down-right rugged and relentless football players.

(P.S.)--Whites physically mature later?? Then I can't wait to see Lee as a Junior!!
