Here are the projected white starters for Coach Darrell Dickey and the Mean Green Eagles for the upcoming season.

Offense
QB-Matt Phillips and/or Daniel Meager
WR-Johnny Quinn
WR-Zach Muzzy
FB-James Mitchell
LT-Jeremy Brown
LG-Adam Venegas
C-Chad Rose
RG-Dylan Lineberry
RT-Joel Foster

Defense
LE-Jeremiah Chapman
DT-Sky Pruitt
LB-Phillip Graves
S-Steve Warren

Projected starters are courtesy of "Dave Campbell's 2006 Texas Football" magazine (our great state's 368 page annual magazine covering all pro, college & high school football teams).

With TE Beau Davidson expected to see extensive playing time as well, it's quite possible there will be times where 10 of the 11 offensive players on the field for us will be whites.

I caught them on ESPN a couple of times and they seem to be a good team to watch.

Looks like they pick up the great white Texas players.

Wow North Texas is really loading them on. That's good to hear and especially cause they're one of the very few teams to start 2 white WRs.

North Texas beat Florida International 25-22 in a national record tying 7 OT's tonight! There were 8 missed field goals in the overtime periods. Unreal! North Texas entered the game as the only Division 1-A team to have not played in an overtime game since it was instututed in 1996. Now all of them have.

I was at that game & man was it crazy!!! My alma mater goes from being a trivia answer to the only school not to have an OT game to now having tied the record for most OT's in one game. (I guess we were trying to cram a decade's worth of no OT into one game!

).

Offensive slugfest this was not. Yikes! It was almost a contest to see which offense stunk less.

From a Caste Football perspective, another great game for Johnny Quinn. 10 catches for 88 yards (that was over 50% of the completions for UNT) & 118 yards in punt & kickoff returns). Sweet!!

By the way Colonel Reb, allow me to add my thanks for all the work you've done detailing college football rosters & stuff. Thanks for all that work!
