Seen and heard at today's Penguins vs. Capitals game in Washington District of Corruption:

A veritable ocean of Penguins jerseys worn by thousands of Penguins fans what drove down from the Pittsburgh area. Magnificent! There were ten different versions of the Black and Gold Pens uniform. Many of the powder-blue outdoor Pens jersey were visible also. The Caps' system of fans was well represented as well. The game was a sellout and loud. And by gosh, the Whitest convening I have seen in years! The folks sitting next to me were from a neighborhood near Weirton WV, not too far west of Pittsburgh.

A surreal optimism exists at NHL games. Large collections of White people convene to deceive themselves that all is OK in their realm and their lives, and that great gatherings of Whites to devour an all-White sport can just go on forever! And damn the torpedoes, the Recession, the collapsed currency, the forever Bush-McCainBrain War, the attack on home-schoolers, the progressive income tax! Especially, never mind the Negro-infested wasteland in which the Caps' hockey stadium is situated! Those nasty, screaming, armed and dangerous denizens prowling about the Chinatown neighborhood, crowding the subway, and snarling evilly at passing White women ... all of this is really just an illusion! America and Washington are really White, trust me! All these mud-tinted harbingers are just holograms in the Great Neo-Europe that is America!

And then there was the game. It was nip-and-tuck the affair, being decided on a Sidney Crosby goal with 27 seconds left after a wild scramble in front of the goal. That sinking feeling was most tangible for Caps' fans, as their team's playoff run essentially ended with this defeat. Sadly, the excellent rookie Nick Backstrom inexplicably blasted the winning goal into his own net. Talk about future nightmares! And the game was played largely in the Penguins' zone, and the shots were 36-13 Washington at one point in the third period. But despite the home team's loss, the event was just magnificent! A veritable sea of Arian folks enjoying an honest jousting match between Arian warriors! If we could only roust these folks into same frenzy in protecting their nation - no, rescuing it from the evil jaws of the Illuminazis, the DemoPublicans, and the hideous hordes of non-Arians infesting the fruited plain.

I left out one excellent detail: During the break between periods 1 and 2, the "Crowd Cam" began sweeping around the arena, searching for the most bizarre or interesting fan to mug for the camera and be put up on the giant screen. Crowd-cam found a clutch of Pens fans holding a poster with the NBC-TV logo, the one with the NBC peacock and its multi-colored plumes. Only the peacock had been replaced with a Penguin!

Then one of the guys holding up the sign stepped forward a bit, and one could see his prominent number "68" jersey. Sixty-eight, hmmm. He grinned, then turned around, back facing the camera, revealing the name on the reverse side. It read, "Jag-off." The entire stadium roared its approval! One thing that all Caps and Penguin fans share alike: their contempt for Jaromir the Weak!

Man Real George, I almost went to the Caps v. Pens game last week, but I did go to the Caps. V Boston last night. First Caps game I've been to in the "new" arena. Can't believe it's been ten, TEN,years since they went to the Cup finals. Time flies.

Anyway, sold out game(18200 strong). Much, much Caps red, and not much Boston colors. First two periods were tight, somewhat boring. Third period was awesome, went to OT, excitement was that much higher. But Caps prevailed in the Shootout. Highlight of the game was when Alex O was tripped and got called for a flop. Stadiiumm was rocking with "referrees suck!" chant.

This is DC now. People don't get loud in DC except for the Skins.

Caps now only 2 behind Philly for the 8th spot, I think 5 behind Boston and teh Rangers for the 6th and 7th.

I'm telling you, if they get in, I think they can win the Cup. It'd be sweet a Pitt vs. Wash Eastern Conference Final. Sid vs. Ovechkin. Man, life in the NHL is getting better each day.

Can't wait for the playoffs. GO CAPS!

Yes, it's a banner year for the Caps and Alex the Eight. Watched the Boston game and the shootout was a thing of beauty. Saw Alex the Eight score miracle empty-netter last nicht in Nashville.

The Caps are VERY necessary White Man's entertainment in the dreary communist capital city. Thank God for the Russian hockey connection.

But this IS the Penguins thread, so I put in Three Cheers for Malkin and Crosby and the crew. Would LOVE to see Penguins and Caps meet in playoffs. But just having the NHL on the tube, as the antidote to the rest of TV's garbage, is most excellent.

Freakin' Pens vs Caps in the playoffs is not a good thing. How many times have the Caps been up 3-1 vs. Pitt and still lost the series. 2? 3? Islanders, up 2-0 and lose. And of course the late 80's vs. teh Flyers with Tim Kerr and those guys. Other than the one series in 88 the Flyers had their number, if I recall correctly.

I wasn't even living in the DC area when they made their run to the Cup Finals. Now that i'm back, it's good to see them rolling. Still mad about last night though. Flyers. AHHH

Living in this rat infested sh*t hole called Jew York sh*tty, the Rangers are one of the few bright spots here so I am hoping they beat the Penguins and win the Stanley Cup. Although realgeorge said it best that hockey is pure white man's entertainment and watching white people cheering on white people is just magnificent. Hockey is a beautiful sport in all it's forms. Out of all the sports it requires the most skill. For one thing you're skating on ice and not just skating but turning and spinning. Passing and shooting a puck requires a great deal of skill and even power. I've tried it. It's quite difficult. This sport is simply not for blacks or other nonwhites for that matter. So let's go Rangers. I am hoping Jagr shows crosby a few tricks too.&n bsp;&n bsp;

I am hoping for another miracle on ice. It's going to be difficult without Chris Drury (possbily for one game) and Sean Avery (cardiac arrest- shocking ). Come on Hockey needs something big to happen. Like I said before living in Jew York sh*tty without the rangers, I'll be forced to read about the Yankees and mets every day.

Game One of the Penguins vs. Flyers was a thing of beauty, one of the finest playoff games I've ever seen. The hometown Pens scored first, sending the fans into a frenzy. The Flyers showing grit, as usual, stormed back with two in-close goals. Then the angry talent-laden Penguins score twice -- all in the First Period!

The pace was frenetic, the hitting savage, and the skill level was, well, White! Did you see Malkin score on a breakaway-slapshot (!) seconds after being decked and knocked woozy? Find me a Negro in the NBA who will play as hard.

The NHL-haters who wrote those bitter articles in 2004, predicting its demise, have been routed. The NHL is on FIRE, and crowds, cash, and TV audience will continue to grow. The Penguins WILL supplant the Black-supremecist Steelers as the primary sports team in Pittsburgh.

I bet the litte Jew in charge of the NHL has something up his sleeve to try and derail the NHL juggernaut. I only wonder what it is. Maybe a steroid scandal, or importing players from Jamaica and DominicaEdited by: Realgeorge

I sure have the RedWings as my pick for the Finals. But one still has to actually play the games.

Pittsburgh was the only team in the East who could give the Wings a fight, so the right matchup is at hand.

Sidney Crosby, who missed a big chunk of last season with a high ankle sprain, is out now with a knee injury, severity not yet disclosed by the secretive NHL.


It's been a very disappointing season for the Penguins so far as they've dropped under .500 at 21-20-4 (which is actually 21-24 doing it the correct way rather than going by the NHL's pathetic gimmick of one win column and two loss columns) and are out of playoff contention at this point. Fleury has missed games again among many other injured players and there isn't enough quality talent after Crosby and Malkin.

The Penguins scapegoated coach Michael Therrien for their weak play this season, who was their best coach since Scotty Bowman. Therrien preceded GM Fred Shero to Pittsburgh, so he was probably always going to be on thin ice, but I liked him because he was tough and demanded discipline and accountability. He melded the Pens virtually overnight into a top team before they fell back this year because of prolonged injuries to their two best defensemen (Sergei Gonchar and Ryan Whitney), the loss of free agents like Marian Hossa and Ryan Malone, and weak seasons from signees Miroslav Satan and Ruslan Fedotenko.


The biggest problem with the Penguins organization over the years has been that it's been too much of a frat house atmosphere, going back to former owner Howard Baldwin and, yes, the great Mario Lemieux, who was a coach killer when he wanted to be. Bowman, the greatest coach inNHL history,wasn't even allowed to be around the team when they practiced, per orders of Lemieux and other stars. This year is a downer but they have the nucleus of talent to contend for the next decade. Therrien should have been their long-term coach.

Bad break for Therrien. That's what happens with this kind of tough-guy coach, when your team wins everybody follow, and when you lose, well, you lose the team. The talk were that most of his players hated Therrien and his coaching style, and the same things were said when he was fired from the Canadiens earlier in his career.
