11, 9, 10, , 8, 10, 8, 11, 9, 11, 19, 7, 6, 7, 7, 6, and 8 white starters. It looks to be 8 again, the upper echelon of the PJ Fleck era.

The number one reason to follow this team is starting CB Ryan Stapp. A transfer from FCS Abilene Christian, Stapp is in line to start at one of the corner positions. He was an FCS Freshman All-American , and upon entering the transfer portal, had offers from Minnesota, Northwestern, Mississippi State, Washington State, Louisville and Nebraska. He could be the real deal. Next to Iowa's Riley Moss, this is probably our best bet at another white NFL corner. Stapp is joined by 6'3" 245 standout LB Moriano Sori-Marrin, who has the makings of a next level LB. Cody Lindenberg is fighting for the other LB spot aside Sori-Marrin. Veteran DE Thomas Rush is another starter.

The offense is led by QB Tanner Morgan. Man, it feels like some of these guys have been college together. No white pass catching starters, which is a disappointment, but RT Quinn Carroll is a Notre Dame transfer with legit NFL prospects. There is a healthy amount of white depth, including multiple notable back ups at WR.

Offense -
QB - Tanner Morgan
LG - Axel Ruschmeyer
C - John Michael Schmitz
RT - Quinn Carroll

Defense -
DE - Thomas Rush
LB - Moriano Sori-Marrin
LB - Cody Lindenberg *in battle for position
CB - Ryan Stapp

Back ups looking at playing time include QB Cole Kramer, TE Jameson Geers, WR Clay Geary, WR Dino Kallakmanis, LT JJ Guedet, G Nathan Boe, G/C Karter Shaw, DE Danny Striggow, LB Josh Aune, LB Derik LeCaptain.

Nice to see another White CB in the Big Ten.

Hard to believe Tanner Morgan is still around. I wonder if any of the backups will push him. He has declined since 2019.

Maybe the injury bug will hit the gophers upsiders and Lecaptain will get another shot at running back. This run alone should have got him 20 carries the next game. How can the coaches be so blind and dumb?

Not sure anyone is gonna remember this post since I am referring to a white rb that looks like he will be second on the depth chart next year but Cole Berghunt is a red shirt freshman rb out of small town Wisconsin. The kid ran out of a fullback type offense last year but smoked it at a combine last year with a legit 4.41 forty. Junior rb , Trey Potts is transferring as very highly ranked black frosh Zach Evans looks to be the starter next season and 2 more of Minnesota's rb ahead of Evans and Potts right now are graduating. Berghunt's highlights are sick. He really looks to have that Will Shipley burst up the field so I hope to see him get some good minutes next year.
