Since 2006, Clemson has started 7, 5, 5, 5, 2, 4, 3, 5, 5, 3, 6 , 6, 8, and 7. In 2021 they look to be at 9.
This will be a fun team to watch this year! 2021 has their highest total starters since we have been keeping track and that isn't even counting Will Shipley and Jake Venables who will play just about as much as the starters. Will Shipley is going to be an absolute star at Clemson and he should be getting touches early and often on offense and special teams. In the article below Dabo mentions that Shipley is probably the fastest guy on the team.

QB Hunter Helms will serve as the backup QB since their backup suffered an achilles injury, don't be surprised to see true freshman Will Taylor get some reps during the season at QB or WR. Taylor is an extremely fast athlete who is also a baseball star.
WR's Spector, Stellato, and Swinney all play the same WR position which is unfortunate but each should see some touches during the season. TE Davis Allen shares his starting role with another guy but he makes plenty of plays himself (4 TD's in 2020), at 6'6" 250+ he should be on the NFL radar. Offensive line is going to be mostly white this year which is a nice change, some young guys in there too. The issue on the OL is depth, most of the non-starter white OL are walk ons.
On defense look for former #1 overall recruit Bryan Bresee to continue trending upwards towards a high draft selection in a year or 2. Not much else on the DL but true freshman Cade Denhoff will be a guy to watch in the next few years. Skalski and Spector return as the starting LB's with Jake Venables who gets plenty of playing time (15 TFL in career). Skalski looks like an NFL guy to me, combination of physicality, smarts, and skills. S Nolan Turner returns once again and looks to continue his rise towards being a draft pick in 2022 (190 tackles, 11.5 TFL, 6 INT). Turner has had a very underrated career. Tyler Venables is listed on the depth chart at nickel and safety, expect him to see some defensive snaps and plenty of special teams production.
