I wonder if Rhys Plumlee has a chance to make the mlb draft? If he desires football at all I would transfer and have a huge senior year somewhere. To not play
this kid the majority of the year is a crime at the highest levels. This only happens to our guys or it sure seems that way. What has he done to not be featured in
the offense somewhere. The kid is the most athletic player on the Ole Miss Team so they hide him until his eligibility is done and his career is ruined. To think
what could have been from just watching him as a freshman. I would love to see him at running back!

A couple of interesting transfer portal entrants. Koerner leaving Iowa is a little baffling - curious to see where he ends up - leaving Iowa will probably be a step down or lateral at the best. Maybe Romney ends up at Iowa...that would be nice. Doege will be a super senior - another QB that would be better than what Iowa currently has.

Former Iowa redshirt senior S Jack Koerner will enter the transfer pool.
This is a tough loss for the Hawkeyes as they lose one of their best defensive backs. Koerner (6'0"/204) has been a staple of one of the best defenses in the country including a very good secondary. He finished 2021 with a career-high 62 solo tackles, the most by an Iowa DB since Bob Sanders in 2002. Whatever program he chooses will automatically get a boost in talent and leadership.

BYU redshirt sophomore QB Baylor Romney will enter the transfer portal.
Romney (6'2/195) got the start in the Independence Bowl against UAB but struggled by completing 15-of-23 passes for 195 yards. He did get two other starts, including against South Florida where he threw for 305 yards and three touchdowns. Jaren Hall is still going to be the starter for BYU in 2022, so if Romney wants the chance to start, he would have to move on.

Former West Virginia redshirt senior QB Jarret Doege will enter the transfer pool.
The starter quarterback of the Mountaineers has decided to move on and will play for a new program in 2022. Doege (6'2"/208) has a big arm, and he's accurate with it as he was 31st in completion percentage (65.2) this past season. If he decides to go to a program without an established quarterback, he should be favored to be the starter.

Puzzled by Koerner!

The QBs leaving makes more sense.

Absolutely sickening... he is the fastest player every time he steps on the field. Not to mention he has moxie and agility in spades. I cannot fathom why he has stayed at Ole Miss...

Great news. The kids should have been a house hold name like Johnny "Football: Manziel. I think part of the problem is he seems to be a good, clean
cut christian kid. All the sports leagues attack christianity. They are anti white and anti chrisitan. The 2 things this country was founds on. I really hope
he goes somewhere that will play him non stop all of his senior year. If he isn't at qb, please, please make my year and put the kid at running back! He has
the potential to be a Cmac type running back. I have no doubt he could run for 1000 yards even with no experience. The guy can cut on a dime and then explode
like very few football players on the planet and I'm including nfl guys.

Starting guard from Cal McKade Mettauer transferred to Oklahoma. Any white player on Oklahoma is an improvement!

Nice! Texas kid getting closer to home. I'm actually excited for Oklahoma. Landed Stud Athlete Jaren Kanak and recruiting RB/Athlete Erik McCarty in '23 Class.

I didn’t realize how fast and explosive Plumlee is until I saw his freshman highlights l. He effortlessly outran SEC corners and safety’s, exploded through holes in short yardage when he should have been tackled for a loss and accurately threw the ball. Everything you would want in a spread of offense qb. What a waste of 3 years. Hopefully his advisors and family will lead him to a program where he is a full time starter at qb.

New Texas Tech head coach Joey McGuire sure knows the importance of talented walk-ons! In the last 24 hours TTU has got commitments from two walk on transfers, WR Haydon Wiginton from Oklahoma State and RB Blake Bedwell from SMU. I hope they both get a shot to see the field at Tech, both of them were freshmen this year.

At this stage in his career he needs to give up the quarterback position. Life isn't fair but he needs to be at running back period! His athletecism is off the charts and he
has ability to juke and cut on a dime. The guy knows how to make people miss. Forget receiver. No time to learn the routes. Forget quarterback.

John Rhys Plumlee has to play RUNNING BACK PERIOD! He will be a star. What did he waste so much time? It's better late than never. Go show them what you
can do Plumlee. We are huge fans here. Yes you got screwed over royally. Use that as motivation and go rush for over 1000 yards and get to the NFL!

Former Marshall redshirt freshman QB Grant Wells has committed to Virginia Tech.
Marshall (6'2/210) entered the transfer portal on January 3rd, and became one of two transfer quarterbacks to commit to Virginia Tech on Thursday, with former South Carolina quarterback Jason Brown being the other. Last season at Marshall, Wells threw for 3,515 yards, 16 touchdowns and three interceptions, while also rushing 35 times for 160 yards and another seven scores. Wells has far more experience as an FBS starter, and should have the inside tracker over Brown for the Hokies starting job in 2022.

Former Missouri redshirt sophomore QB Connor Bazelak has committed to Indiana.
Bazelak (6'3/212) saw a difficult season come to an end with him being benched in the team's bowl game in favor of quarterback Brady Cook, who supposedly won out on the three-way quarterback competition that head coach Eli Drinkwitz had to determine the team's bowl game starter. Bazelak threw for 2,554 yards, 16 touchdowns and 11 interceptions in his first 11 games of the season with Missouri, but struggled in his final two games to the tune of 234 yards, one touchdown and one interception. Now, with quarterback Michael Penix Jr. headed to Washington, Bazelak will look to secure a job as the Hoosiers' starter in 2022.

Former Texas A&M sophomore quarterback Zach Calzada is headed to Auburn.
Calzada (6'4/200) is bound for Auburn after announcing he was entering the transfer portal ahead of Texas A&M's bowl game, which it ended up not even being able to play because of COVID issues. Calzada, who had some ups and downs this past season in placed of an injured Haynes King, will be in competition with former LSU quarterback TJ Finley among others for the starting gig with the Tigers. In 2021, Calzada completed over 56% of his passes for 2,185 yards with 17 touchdowns and nine interceptions -- his most impressive accomplishment was leading his team to victory over Alabama in one of the best upsets of the season.

Former Washington redshirt sophomore LB Jackson Sirmon has transferred to Cal.
Sirmon (6'3"/235) was a key member of the Husky defense, leading the team in tackles with 91 (four for loss) and coming away with an interception and forced fumble. He provides an instant reinforcement to the Cal defense. Sirmon's father, Peter, is the Cal defensive coordinator and inside linebackers coach, so this makes sense.

Former Washington sophomore WR Sawyer Racanelli transferred to Montana.
Racanelli (6'3"/200) was mostly relegated to special teams duties at Washington, and lands at FCS Montana. Racanelli suffered an unfortunate knee injury in 2019 that cost him his first season, but should get an opportunity to actually catch some passes with the Grizzlies.

Good for Indiana! Penix was perennially overhyped and perpetually injured. The Hoosiers aren't too white-friendly at this point, but establishing a quarterback is a start.

I'm hearing rumors about Rhys Plumless going to UCF and playing both football and baseball. It would be a good place to go but I worry about coming in as a senior
and not knowing the playbook very well. He only has one year of eligibility left. Why not play running back? He is a natural born runner at the highest level.

Sounds like the rumors are correct - he has committed to UCF.
