From 2006 – 2020 (no 2013 writeup) the Red Wolves have started 7, 8, 7, 6, 6, 7, 8, 3, 2, 2, 4, 3, and 6 whites. A slight decrease to 5 this year.

Layne Hatcher looks to solidy his spot as QB this year after two seasons with splitting reps with Logan Bonner, who departed for Utah State. Hatcher finished with 2,000 yards and 19 TD’s last year in his mixed playing time. Hatcher’s lone white weapon Reed Tyler has seen steady but limited action his entire time in Jonesboro racking up a hdnful of catches yards and TD’s each year. Backup RB Lincoln Pare saw meaningful action last year with 72 carries for 450 yards and a TD before suffering an ACL injury ¾ of the way through the season.

Ethan Miner – C

Reed Tyler – TE

Layne Hatcher – QB

Nice to see Pare in Arkansas State's RB rotation. Unfortunately they are struggling at 2-8 this year. He has 2 more games against Georgia State and UL Monroe, let's go Lincoln! Wonder if he'll consider transferring in the off-season?

He'll probably stay at Arkansas State and try and solidify a starting position. He was a 2 star recruit out of high school despite rushing for nearly 3000 yards in his senior year, averaging 200.6 yards per game, eight yards per carry, and totaling 38 touchdowns. He also had zero fumbles on 350 carries.

True. I was glad new coaching regime kept him in their RB rotation.. Hopefully they can figure it out and be competitive his next 2 seasons.

No fumbles in that many carries despite being "undersized" is impressive.
