McCaffrey was first in Panthers history to record a 100/100 plus game. He also had franchise record of yards from scrimmage with 229.

After today's game, Christian sits at 757 yards rushing with 5 games remaining. He'll need to average 49 yards per game to achieve his first 1,000 yard rushing season. 3 of the match-ups are particularly favorable as Tampa Bay, Cleveland and Atlanta all have top 10 worst run defenses.

And he also needs 390 more receiving yards to have a 1000-yard receiving season - an average of 78 per game. Has averaged 55 per game so far this season so it would be tough but definitely not impossible for a dual-1000 yard season which would be massive.

Thanks for the hi-lights, Thrashen. I watched most of the game online, but tuned out (paused the game) when Seattle had the ball. Have no interest in that team.

RTTAS, a 1,000 yard receiving season might be tough, but he has 71 catches. 100 receptions, plus 1,000 yards rushing would also be huge.

So theoretically he could have 100 receptions, 1000 yards receiving and 1000 yards rushing. I wonder how many times that's been done.

I don't think the unique triple has ever been done. Marshall Faulk and Roger Craig have done 1k, 1K but neither had 100 receptions.

Roger Craig did this as the starting fullback for the 49ers, of course this was in a different era when fullbacks received significant touches in many offensive systems.

About the only game the NFL puts out that I will watch start to finish. In the defense of the Plantation I actually outside of its personal decisions like his football philosophy and I don't mind Wilson only the fawning Rooney Rule joke of media hype.

I was surprised he got caught from behind so easily on his 60 yarder. Also he had a db hit him helmet to helmet with no call of targeting (2nd or 3rd highlight). He took some really hard shots in this game got up and kept doing his thing.

CM is the best RB in the NFL at present and he is only going to get better. I would be quite curious to see how many negro Carolina Panther fans actually cheer for him at the home games and are grateful they have such a talented RB.

I agree. I didn't get to watch much of the game. I was at my in-laws for another Thanksgiving meal, but was able to catch that 60 yard run and was also surprised he got walked down. Some of my wifes' family was watching and commented that CM looked slow compared to the DB that ran him down. Instead of praising CM, they seemed excited for the Seattle DB.
It's the first time I've seen that happen to him. They showed a close up of CM running and he kept looking up at the screen as if to see who was behind him when he should've been looking at nothing but the back side of the end zone!

It looks to me like CM bulked up to be able to prove he could "run between the tackles" (which the Caste media was bringing up often to put doubt in people's minds about using him as a RB and not as a slot receiver (which they rarely if ever do to black RBs)). So, in doing so he probably lost a step in speed and that's the trade off. His quickness is still the same, if not even better though, up through the first 40 yards.

Putting on muscle mass won't slow you down much if at all. Guy that caught him ran 4.38 on combine if the commentator was right and was gunning for Mc while he was (somewhat stupidly) repeatedly looking up to see who was coming up on him from behind.

The DB had a little bit of an angle plus CM had run 60 yards from his offensive backfield and the DB was coming from a much shorter distance.

It has to be excessive or a combination of fat and a muscle(commonly referred to as a dirty bulk). His weight gain has been about 10 pounds at most from his junior season at Stanford. That could be maturing as much as anything else. It also could be the reason why he is performing better this season. Essentially this would be his rookie season if he turned pro as a senior.

Agreed. In a league full of DB’s with pedestrian speed, Griffin is a legitimate speed burner. He had a good angle on McCaffrey from his safety position and was running more perpendicular to the field rather than parallel (towards the goal line). Still, Christian should’ve scored on that play.

Before McCaffrey’s historic game this past weekend, I believe the last time an NFL player had a “100-100 game” was Arian Foster in October 2011...

Before that, it was Chris Johnson in November 2009...

It’s only the 28th time a player has gone 100-100 in the SB Era! I hope this great game is just one of many to come and he accomplishes the feat again very soon!

so, only a second time this decade! impressive as the way they've been using him, he has a decent chance at repeating it.

EDIT: from a precursory glance, the only RBs who had two are Walter Peyton, Priest Holmes and Brian Westbrook.

During today's Boomer Esiason's sports minute on CBS radio, ol' Boomer highlighted the best performances of the last week. Oddly he omitted any mention of CMac's 100/100. Now why would that be?

Because he is a cuck.

Hopefully, Christian McCaffrey has a couple more big rushing games and gets well over 1000 yards rushing for the season with around 5 yards a carry.

Since it hadn't been done since 2011, the fact he omitted it seems odd.

Yes odd. Of course everyone at Caste Football knows the score. They say as little as possible good about whites.

Didn't Gurley do it in 2016? Regardless, the media seems to be having some balls and coming around to CMAC. Matthew Berry seemed particularly smug this week (and rightfully so); proud to proclaim that he had called McCaffrey as the #1 back in fantasy football. CMAC is close too. He's 29 touches behind Gurley for I believe 116 yards for the NFL lead. He could well overtake him, as there is a good chance Gurley sits the final game of the season, and CMAC won't.

What I like about McCaffrey is that the black guys I know are becoming fans. He's a stereotype breaker, and what we need at the position to get more white kids to play RB. Max Borghi will get to play RB at the NFL level because of CMAC, where before he would be forced to play slot receiver. I am obviously rooting for McCaffrey to have a 1000/1000 season, but I have a feeling he will miss it by a few yards (receiving not rushing). He's only 22, and I can see him putting up hall of fame numbers if he can stay healthy.

Also, don't trip on him getting caught from behind. Besides the fact that he slowed down to watch the jumbotron, Griffin is a 4.38 runner, and had a solid angle on him. No other back would have outrun Griffin, sans maybe Barkley, who is one of the few black running backs that deserves the hype. Let's just sit back and enjoy what Christian is doing, and pray to our Lord that he stays healthy. If he does, he is the best tailback we have had since superfreak John Riggins, and I dare say he may even be more talented than the Diesel overall.
