McNabb won't have to worry about a quarterback controversy in Philly. Garcia has signed with Tampa Bay.

Even if Garcia stayed in Phillie there wouldn't be any controversy. McNabb is a god.

McNabb is better then McNair and McNair was never allowed to have any competition even after he declined noticeably. even if McNabb keeps getting injured every season Andy Reid won't allow anyone to take McNabb's job away. Kordell Stewart was horrible and he lasted eight years. Quarterback controversies aremostly for melanin challengedquarterbacks.

A black QB has to retire to loose his starting spot. Even in Jacksonville Jack Del Rio said Leftwich is definitly starting next year. Leftwich is a bum, and he's always hurt. (cut to shot of linemen carrying him) But then again he's black, so he is "durable" and a "class act". It's just funny that even though David Garrard but up numbers equal to or better then Brian Leftwich, he's not even going to get a chance to compete for starting spot. Just goes to show you how hard it is to "dethrone" a black QB.

I could care less which one of these affletes starts, I just wanted to make a point.

I prefer Leftwich starting to Gerard, b/c Leftwich was throwing to Matt Jones as his go to receiver before he got hurt. Gerard rarley got Jones the ball, after his first of a mere two bad drops on the season. Then they unfairly moved Wilford and his 4.7 speed to starting WR supposedly b/c of Gerard's repertoire with him! Why not take Reggie Williams out, I think Jones had shown he was the best WR on the team in the early season!Edited by: ToughJ.Riggins

For a good laugh, you shouldread my posts on the official Eagles forums about McNabb/Garcia. (thread: "Wow. Simply wow" ) I simply stated that Garcia put up numbers equal to or better then McNabb at a fraction of the cost towards the salary cap and the mindless Philly caste fans attacked me for about 15 forum pages. The race card was brought up from a black forum member, and moments later anyone who questioned McNabbs skills was a racist.

I am from the Philly area and want very much to see Garcia start for the Bucs, as I think he proved last year he deserves at least 2 more years in the NFL. With 18 million towards thier salary cap I'm hoping the bucs can put together a decent team to showcase Garcia. Icing on the cake would be for the Bucsto play McNabb and the Eagles and put up better stats then McNabb (again) in the 2007 season.

Does anyone else find it interesting that the Eagles didnt even make an offer to Garcia?

Considering how injury prone McNabb is and the injury he's going to try to come back from this season, it made a lot of sense to attempt to keep Garcia. But surprised, no.
