Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban is getting a lot of corporate media publicity for predicting that the NFL will implode within a decade because of greed and oversaturation on TV. He followed that up with a post on Facebook, which can be found at the link below. He of course doesn't get into race but does mention the league's endless epidemic of "bad behavior" as one of his five main points about the league's potential problems:

I guess every league has the potential for an 'implosion'.. but I think Cuban's assessment is inaccurate right from point #1.. (where he feels college football is/will-be in decline bcuz kids & their parents will shy away from the sport due to head injuries..)
That same argument would equally diminish many contact sports.. hockey, MMA.. But MMA & all levels of football seem to be ascending over the last decade & more popular than ever, when we've all been aware of concussions. I think the idea that ppl are turning away from football is distorted by a few high profile condemnations of the sport (ie- Obama "I wouldn't let my son play pro football".. <who cares ?>)

But who knows.. Football's popularity is so high right now, it probably will slip (not necessarily implode) at some point.. But, it is ironic to me, that an NBA owner would be criticizing the public bad behavior of NFL players.. I actually think most fans are resigned to that as a part of modern pro sports.. and DWFs actually look forward to it, which drives gossip, ratings, & interest even further..
