Over 90% of us lacrosse members are white, there are similar numbers in college lacrosse. Lacrosse is a sport where pure athletes can not dominate, you need to have fundamentals and a good sense of teamwork. I want to open this thread to discuss why white people dominate the sport and other things maybe not pertaining race but things like new rules and current events.

YOU NEED ENDURANCE TO PLAY LACROSS

Blacks may have straight line sprinting speed but in lacrosse you will run for longer than 10 seconds. It also requires the ability to use a stick to throw the ball either to a team mate or into the goal. It is also a very team oriented sport so hot dogs tend to get eaten.

Ninja, please!

Warrior Lacrosse, one of the sport's preeminent equipment companies, recently ran a promotion in which it gave away pairs of its Dojo shoes to people who used the hashtag "Ninja Please."

The marketing campaign is not sitting well with everyone in the lacrosse world. Jovan Miller, a midfielder on the Charlotte Hounds and one of just three African-Americans playing Major League Lacrosse, said that he is boycotting Warrior products because of it.

"The actual meaning behind 'Ninja Please' is the 'N-word Please,'" Miller told WCNC. "They put ninja in it to kind of disguise it."

While Miller is sponsored by Warrior's rival, Maverick, the MLL was co-founded by Warrior founder David Morrow. All the teams in the league wear Warrior equipment, and MLL promoted the campaign through its Facebook and Twitter accounts.

"As far as Major League Lacrosse is concerned, I do believe they were just ignorant to what the phrase was," Miller told WCNC. "But in those [Warrior] offices, when someone came up with that phrase, I believe they knew exactly what they were talking about."

Major League Lacrosse Commissioner David Gross told WCNC that he was unaware of the expression's actual meaning.

"I honestly didn't know what it meant until someone told me to look it up," Gross said. "MLL was simply posting and retweeting a sponsor. We deleted all of it after I found out what it meant."

Miller also took to Twitter to denounce Warrior, calling the campaign "backwards" and offering to give all of his Warrior equipment away.

I find the slogan offensive as well, but for quite the opposite reason. Lacrosse is lilly-white, and there are apparently only three blacks in this professional league. So why an ad campaign that "urbanizes" the sport with ghetto slang? It's a concerted effort to fetishize and promote black males through a never-ending cavalcade of media normalization. I wouldn't wear Warrior-brand equipment either.

This particular negro, on the other hand, resents that his sponsor is trying to "get hip" and blacken up the sport, simply because he has been programmed to cry racism automatically whenever he encounters something he can't quite wrap his head around. Blacks (and other minorities) hold our language hostage with this tactic.

"This doesn't just affect me. I'm not just speaking for myself. I'm speaking for every black man or black girl who has ever picked up a lacrosse stick," Miller said.

When asked what that means for the future of his career, the 23-year-old superstar said, "As of now, I won't be playing. I won't be playing if it means I have to wear the uniform."

There is sure to be plenty more hand-wringing by the jew* commissioner over this little foible. Racism, after all, is a serious issue, so the league should not be niggardly in combating it.

* Is there any sport they can keep their claws out of? Lacrosse??
