James is highly considered to be the front runner for the Heisman in 2011 ( along with Stanford qb Andrew Luck ) as a rb out of Oregon. The more I watch Corey McCaffrey's highlights I see no differences in the two. They have the same size, shiftiness and quickness. Only James's 10.4 100 meter speed sticks out but how many plays in football actually utilized someones straight line speed like that? If McCaffrey were black he would be a 2nd round pick next year. Such is the Castesystem. I guess playing at Portland State is the best some can aspire against this system. Even when your Oregon States leading high school rusher of all time and Gatorade Player of the year. Sigh.

To the best of my knowledge, James's best time in the 100 is a wind-aided 10.52. Cory was the Oregon state champion in the 100m in high school with a best time of 10.81. That's an irrelevant difference (and James's time was in college, where Cory is probably also faster). He was also the state champion in the 400m, Long Jump, 4x100m, and 2nd in the 200m. Don't short change him. He's a better speed athlete than James. He's also now more skilled, having spent two years as a slot receiver.
I'm not saying your post is unnecessary. It's just that we here are all acutely aware of the unfairness and prejudice that has held Mr. McCaffrey down.
