I'm watching the BYU-Gonzaga game and the announcers just mentioned Davies and his single mother and his adopted siblings from India and the whole wonderful multi-cultural experience.

The exact same thing was mentioned in BYU's first game. These freaking announcers are disgusting to say the least. I'm rather focusing on the whitest team in the tourney and they're looking good tonight. I hope BYU pulls off the victory.

And what an end to the Butler-Pitt game!!! Howard does it again!

Good point, but if it hadn't been for Matt Howard, they very well could have lost the game. All it takes is one mental lapse to give a game away.

Very true Colonel, great point.
Anyway, Matt Howard is an absolute beast!

Yeah, I've been hearing them talk about Davie's Multi-culti family. It's not very pleasant to listen to.Edited by: Jack Lambert

Wisconsin is looking pretty good so far tonight. Gonzaga used to be a fun team to watch when they had a lot of White players, but now I can hardly stand to look at their tattooed thugs.

I just saw a McNegro's commercial with watermelon grin James and some other NBA afrolete. Nice of the media to poke fun at Larry The Legend Bird. I'm sure they wish that nobody knew who he is. Of course, it is pretty frustrating to see Bird take part in such propaganda.

that was a complete game by BYU. outstanding effort all the way around, including their big men overcoming the "playing defense while White" fouls that the officials repeatedly called. Sacre, a legitimately good big man,was simply allowed to run roughshod over the BYU bigs ... but they refused to back down. consequently, Gonzulu's size advantage wasn't as impactful as it easily could have been. also, how about the stellar defense by BYU's Jackson Emery and Kyle Collinsworth? Emery, especially, is vastly under-rated. Noah Hartsock also was White-hot on offense, and it was a shame he had to sit so much due to the aforementioned fictitious fouls.

i "wonder" why BYU's backcourt of Jimmer Fredette (the nation's top offensive weapon) and Jackson Emery (one of the nation's elite defenders and a superb shooter/passer) is never given consideration as (among) the nation's best? oh, wait. they're both White. i forgot for a second and was just thinking about their ability to play the game.

Matt Howard is Butler's best player, but give credit where it's due. if it weren't for Mack's early hot shooting (he finished with a game-high 30), the Bulldogs wouldn't have been in the game early.

also, the end of the Butler game exemplified dumb black behavior. not one, but TWO stupid fouls that each could have lost the game for their team. wow. i don't know that i've seen a more bizarre finish to a game in my lifetime.

aplayer whoi've not seen mentioned is George Mason's 6-5 sophomore,Luke Hancock. known more for being an athleticslasher who is great at creating for his teammates (he leads the team in assists from hiswing spot), it was Hancock's 3-point shooting that led GMU past Villanova. Hancock had a team-high 18, and his 3-pointer with 21 seconds left sealed the deal.

oh, it probably goes without saying, but George Mason didn't really want to giveHancock a scholarship.

led by another quietly superb performance by Jon Leuer (19 and 7), the starting White quartet (and the men off the bench) of Wisconsin overcame the "physical" play of Kansas State to advance. at least 4 Badgers suffered "incidental" or "accidental" blows to the head from KSU players that left them bleeding profusely.i don'trecall anyof the blood-inducing contactsbeing whistled for a foul, either.

Jimmy, I mentioned Hancock in my write-up for GMU, and on page two of the thread, saying he hit the GW shot against 'Nova. Not to nitpick though.

I know this is off topic, but watch out for the Davidson Wildcats again in the next two years. Davidson has an all-white starting five. They finished only 18-14 this year, but they went 9-1 in their last 10 games this year, and are in the 2nd round of the College B-Ball Invitational right now. Edited by: Jack Lambert

I'm starting to wonder why the "Butler" isn't on a wanted poster in every post office.....

A deep run in the tourney is another win away. How good would this team be if Heyward was still playing for them.Edited by: white is right

Personally I think Jimmer is going to be one of those guys the media builds up so they can knock him down. If I was Jimmer I wouldn't even bother entering the NBA draft.

hawkeye, this sounds like a "debbie downer" post, I think putting out a more positive energy toward Jimmer would be more productive and his possible successful career in the NBA. If he doesn't bother, what does that do for our cause?

BTW, did anyone catch the "great" commercial during the Kentucky game yesterday? I was a little too buzzed but it stated that blacks graduate at a higher rate than anyone else in college sports. They had Lolo Jones ask if people still think they are just a bunch of dumb jocks.

i saw it, and it omits one key fact ...

while it is true that black athletes are graduating at a higher rate than ever, despite continued billions of dollars in aid, blacks (in this case on athletic scholarships) have fallen even further behind their White counterparts. you see, the aforementioned ad "forgot" to mention that the achievement gap (in this case the graduation rate gap) has widened further than ever. it's probably due to ray-cissm, of course.

also, i'm currently watching the Duke-Michigan game, and it is a fun game to watch. Duke virtually always has 3 White men on the floor, while at timesMichigan has had as many as 4.

Yes, it is fun to watch teams like Michigan and Duke play. I had no idea, until reading Jack Lambert's post, that Michigan had so many Whites playing for them. I really enjoyed watching BYU and Wisconsin last night, as well. So happy that Wisconsin won!

I find it funny how the media immediately disregarded the Badgers as a team in the NCAA tourney! Some talking heads had Belmont of all teams beating them! Duke won, BYU won, the Badgers won and Ohio State has been playing stellar with Diebler and Craft very key components of that team. I told my friend yesterday that as long as Jimmer is on, BYU has a fighting chance. and lately he's had a great supporting cast. Very memorable NCAA tourney thus far.

if it wasn't for guard Ryne Smith, Purdue would be getting blown out at halftime. Smith's hot shooting (5 out of 7) and 14 points has him as the only Boilermaker in double-digits thus far.

as it is, Virginia Commonwealth's full court pressure is giving Purdue fits, and VCU has a 10-point lead at the break.

Texas lost to an Arizona team that likes to play a SICK GAME of "hide the White man"... and he's their largest player!

I noticed that too. At least Texas lost though, sick of hearing of all their "black canadiens".

This has been a good tournament so far, but not quite as exciting at last year's. Notre Dame looks horrible so far against Florida. That's par for the course for them; Notre Dame has a pretty bad record in NCAA tournaments, going back to the 1970s. I hope they can come back, because they are one of my favorite teams, but they usually disappoint.

Also, Duke is not quite as lovable this season. That Irving kid is simply not a Duke-type player. Flashy, way overrated and I think he clearly stifles their offense because no one else on the team plays that street style. They were very lucky to win today. Btw, it was heart warming to hear that Nolan Smith will be graduating on time, with a degree in African-American studies.

Speaking of Irving, he took FOUR full steps on one of his uber-affletic drives to the basket, but that was nothing compared to what latest jock-sniffing man crush Kemba Walker did in yesterday's game. Early on, he took FIVE full steps as he drove to the basket. Of course, it wasn't called and he was given free throws (something the refs love to do with him- he's a junior "D-Wade" in this respect). Later, Walker, defying all odds of probability, took FIVE and one half steps on another drive. This time, believe it or not, the announcers noticed it. Of course, they chuckled about it and said he lived up to his name there (ironically, right after I noticed how appropriate the name was).

With the traveling/carrying/palming-fest that is going on in this tournament, it may be that Magic Johnson's record of SEVEN full steps, way back in the 1980s, can be broken. I still remember watching that great afflete, as he plodded his way towards the basket, stumbling along for SEVEN full steps without dribbling, before throwing up one of his patented ugly shots that, as usual, bounced in. The refs not only didn't call the criminal traveling, they gave him a free throw to boot. Totally ridiculous. Edited by: bigunreal

bigunreal,

I COMPLETELY agree with your whole post! Kyrie Irving is nothing-more than a Johnny Flynn-clone (former Syracuse afflete and now T-Wolves afflete).

As for Notre Dame.. it's been clear to me, for some time, that they don't get the "best White athletes." They generally don't get the White bigs that have the "most length." No Cole Aldrich.. No Colton Iverson.. No Alex Kirk.. No Ryan Kelly.. No Jamie Vanderbeeken.. No Angus Brandt.. No Meyers Leonard.. and the list goes on. They need to snag some of these guys!

Troy Murphy was good and Luke Harangody was a FREAK, but that's about it. They generally have had underwhelming bigs like Luke Zeller and Abromaitis. That's just not going to cut it.

Notre Dame and Purdue's losses are example of why sometimes its ok when two white friendly teams meet early in the tournament. Had they met tonite, at least one of them would have survived to play the winner of Florida St/VCU, instead both go down and we can sort of root for Florida St over VCU.

kyrie Erving is ok, not great. Like the poster pointed out above, he is mostly flash and he doesn't fit in.
They need to pound it inside to win. Get Singler involved more. Great game with Michigan but Duke won when Hardaway Jr. took some bad shots and they went away from their white players. If Nolan Smith hadn't gotten hot, Michigan would have won.

Erving looks okay, but he is not as good a guard as Kemba Walker, Jimmer, Hansbrough, or possibly even Brandon Knight. That little Mexican guy on Virginia Commonwealth looked better.
