Fellers, fyi...here's Sherdog's lastest MMA rankings...

***My half-cent worth...

- At HW, Carwin should be #4. NO WAY is he behind Brett Rogers, AA, Velasquez & JDS!
- At LHW, Rampage ain't no dadgum #3. Mousasi & Bader should be ranked higher.
- At MW, Jake Shields should be ranked #6 & Belfort #7.
- At WW, Dan Hardy should be # 3 (above Alves).
- At LW, Maynard & Edgar should be ranked higher.
- At FW, (White Brazilian) Assuncao should be ranked #4 (over Fernandes).

"Pure" Whites hold 2 of the belts (not counting GOAT Fedor), with fighters with 1 White parent/White blood holding 3 of the belts. I expect Cerrone to recapture the WEC LW belt & Faber the FW belt on April 24.

i dunno... i follow MMA very closely and carwin just doesnt impress me at all. . he might be my least favorite HW to watch, well either him or brett rogers. i seriously think they might be related, to big slow guys whos only talent is they can punch hard. in my perfect world they would fight each other and the loser retires.... or they fight and both retire..... or better yet they dont fight... but still both of them go away.

NC831, Carwin was a college All-American in wrestling (AND football), so he's has solid wrestling ability. Shane's a Purple belt in BJJ & has 5 submission wins (including RNC, arm bar & guillotine)...so he's NOT one-dimensional (like "afrolete" Rogers). IMO, he'd knock Rogers into the next time zone. Carwin is also very intelligent & holds 2 degrees (Mechanical Engineering & Environmental Technology), and he's an engineer. He's intellectually & athletically superior to Rogers. I'd like his odds to KO or TKO JDS, "Brown Pride" Velasquez & a glass chinned AA.I hope Shane KOs loud-mouth Mir, as I'd love to see a "Monster Mash" between Lesnar & Carwin.

Dixie, I can't wait for the King Fedor to step into the ring!! Complete elimination of every opponent that he is faces is the key.

i dont know, i guess watching that fight with gonzaga left a bad taste in my mouth. IMO he just did not look very good. i like him as a person, seems like a smart humble guy, but as of right now i dont care for him to much as a fighter. but he will win me over if he knocks out frank mir.

and with rogers, agreed he is very overrated. his only asset are his heavy hands. he is slow, in terrible shape, and hasnt shown any sort of ground game. what a well rounded athlete
