Lesnar: "Built like a black man."

To really be quite frank about the subject, blacks most commonly have two types of physiques: they are either obese (highest rate of obesity among all ethnic groups in the U.S.) or they are very thin and skinny. As fact, black youths chose to wear extremely baggy clothing to look bigger and tougher and hide their thin, thin builds. Sure there are muscular blacks, but those mostly the exception rather than the rule. So much for the stereotype...

The funny part, and I mean it is absolutely hilarious when you think about it, is that Lesnar has the most stereotypically Nordic build imaginable. The squarish torso and deep chest, muscles that tend to be long rather than "knotty", the pillar-like legs, all typical of Nords and the reason for their advantage in sports involving raw strength and muscular endurance. Rich Franklin comes close to having a "Black man's Build"

I would be surprised if Mir doesn't sub him. Lesnar is a brute but he's not a slick skilled fighter. Anyway, why must we favour Lesnar over Mir? The last I looked Mir is as white as us and he doesn't say foolish things that I know of.

Is Mir a Mestizo? His eyes are green I think. I know Lesnar is more Nordic/Aryan, but Mir certainly appears "fully White".

Frank Mir might be white but he doesn't imbrace his "Whiteness". He actually rejects it. He says he's "American", NOT White. I'm fine with the American part but not the anti-white part. If you go to his Myspace page instead of marking the ethnicity section as "White" he leaves it blank. He's made a comment or two basically sounding as if he's ashamed almost of being white & his official website he sells "Frank Mir Samurai" T-shirts. He embraces the Samurai way, not the WHITE way. He says ancient Samurai's were greater than any white ever was, I sent him a private message once with the history of the Vikings years back. He sent me a private message back laughing at Vikings saying they were "Cavemen" with no skill.

I won't lose any sleep if Mir wins as I still consider him white but I'm pulling for Brock Lesnar 100% in this fight. In the end I want to see Shane Carwin destroy Cain "Brown Pride" Velaszquez then beat the winner of Lesnar/Mir.Edited by: Doc Holliday

Thanks for the inside info on Mir and his attitude towards his own race Doc Holliday. Rooting even more for Brock this Saturday but certainly no gimme that Brock wins this fight. I could see Brock getting submitted again but my prediction is a Lesnar victory TKO ref stoppage in under two minutes of the first. Edited by: guest301

Brock is the bigger, stronger, more explosive athlete with heavier hands. Mir's only advantages are BJJ & experience. Mir's certainly arrogant & kinda smug too (just not as mouthy as Lesnar). Mir has kinda ran his yap about his near escape from Lesnar in the 1st match-up (which Masagatti bailed Mir out with that bogus point taken from Lesnar). That stoppage & point deduction pissed me off because I've seen lots of other fighters (Anderson Silva, etc.) get away with strikes to the back/top of the head several times. I predict Brock by TKO or KO in the mid 1st round.

P.S. - I too want to see Carwin stomp Velasquez (& his questionable chin) then face off against fellow monster Lesnar. Edited by: DixieDestroyer

Wow, if what Doc Holliday says is true....then we have two fighters who fail to embrace their white heratige facing off this weekend. Brock "Built Like A Black Man" Lensar vs. Frank "Samurai" Mir. I could care less who wins....all the drunken white morons will see is two whites fighting for the HW belt.

As many have said, I want Carwin to demolish them both. He seems like a good man who actually doesnt run his mouth. He has a mechanical engineering degree, and two others I think.Edited by: Thrashen

This should answer the question: Francisco Santos Mir III (born May 24, 1979 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

So he's a white Latino -if that makes any sense.

I didn't like Brock's comment but I have now watched a dozen of videos of Mir talking and I have to say he's nausiating. I'll be rooting for Lesnar on Saturday.

AGREE!!! I've heard that away from the MMA Carwin is the most down to earth dude on the planet. Stops & signs autographs, take pictures with, shakes peoples hands & makes people feel like they are long lost brothers/sisters. Right now Carwin is my favorite fighter in MMA or Boxing. I was a huge Ricky Hatton fan but his drinking & massive weight fluctuations ruined his career.

I'm with you padna. Brock Saturday, then Carwin after he disposes of "Brown Pride" Veleszques.

Yes!!! I'm a big Fedor fan also!!! I liked when he beat that 10 foot tall asian dude. He looked like a smurf next to him. But Fedor beat the giant asian rather easily. Fedor is AWESOME as well!

My top favs are Fedor, Hughes, Linland, and Couture. There's alot of fighters I like/pull for (GSP, Carwin, Spencer Fisher, Guida, etc.), but I like the blue-collar, hard-nose, old-school style of the MMA greats above.

You guys got me interested so I checked out Carwin on mmashare. He's 11-0 and all first round wins! He's also 6,4" and 285lbs, and a former National wrestling champion. If he fights Lesnar it will be a rhino vs rhino fight. I saw Velasquez too. IMO his striking is poor and he's not strong enough to out-grapple and wrestle with Carwin or Lesnar so that adds an "L" to his record.

To be fair, I think most MMA fans know who Fedor is as I have never visited a fight forum that doesn't rave about him. But in general, outside of fight fans, Fedor is not well known. In the U.S., ESPN will rarely mention his name and probably NEVER mention that he is the badest man on planet earth! ESPN is still talking about ALI vs TYSON as if that has any resemblence to reality at all.

What's sad is that average fans stiil think Rampage Jackson and Rashad Evans run the UFC. I respond by sending them youtube clips of getting demolished. Has anyone seen Wanderlei Silva's ko of Rampage? It is absolutely sick, Rampage almost falls out of the ring!

True MMA fans know full well of Fedor and most are aware he's the best HW and P4P.

MapleLeaf, not only will Carwin's wrestling neutralize Velasquez' wrestling & is Shane bigger & stronger, but Cain's chin was exposed as questionable against (Caste god) Kongo...who doesn't have the devastating power of Carwin.
