Excellent news! Whenever a Russian or Ukranian heavyweight turns pro, they immediately start engraving his name on titles belts!

Not only is Glazkov turning pro but also the Heavyweight Gold Medal winner Rakhim Chakhkiev.

Both Glazkov and Chakhkiev are blue chip prospects

Glaskov cruised to an easy UD in his pro debut today and Grigory Drozd became the first to stop Darnell Wilson.

from fight news:

Drozd stops Ding-A-Ling Man!

"Top-rated cruiserweight Grigory Drozd (32-1, 24 KOs) became the first ever to stop the ultra durable American Darnell "Ding-a-Ling Man"Â￾ Wilson (23-9-3, 20 KOs), scoring the eleventh-round stoppage in a foul-filled one-sided slugfest on Thursday night at the "Dynamo"Â￾ Sports Arena in Moscow, Russia. Drozd dominated the whole fight with his precision yet hard punching, barely losing a single minute in any round and stalking his opponent around the ring.

The fan-friendly action turned into an ugly foul match after the seventh round and both boxers were deducted some points by referee Victor Panin. With his right eye virtually shut and being horribly battered in later rounds, Wilson retired in his corner, though never down, after the tenth round. One of the best wins for WBO #1, WBA #2 and WBC/IBF #5 ranked Russian fighter, who also retained the WBO Asia Pacific and PABA belts in process."

I thought he looked good. He faced a tough opponent in his debut. Cetinkaya is tougher than all the guys Wilder has faced put together.Edited by: Blue Devils

In his next fight, Vyacheslav Glazkov faces his toughest test so far in his pro career against Mark Brown (15-3) who stopped Tony Grano.

The fight will be Wednesday, July 14 in Philadelphia.

From Eastsideboxing

2008 Olympic Bronze medal winner Vyacheslav Glazkov was very impressive in stopping local favorite Mark "Oak Tree"Â￾ Brown at 2:41 of round three of a scheduled six round Heavyweight bout.

After a non-descript first round, Glazkov showed good hand speed in catching Brown with some sharp right hands.

In round three, Glazkov scored with three hard right hands that wobbled Brown for which Glazkov followed up with a heavy barrage on the ropes that forced the refer to stop the bout in the final seconds of round three.

Glazkov of Lugansk, Ukraine is now 6-0 with four knockouts.

And here's fightnews.com report:

The most impressive fighter on the card was perhaps unbeaten Ukrainian, Vyechaslav Glazkov, who stopped the heavy handed knockout artist from Salem New Jersey, Mark "Oak Tree"Â￾ Brown in the third round of the scheduled six round heavyweight clash of titans.

Glaskov, the former 2008 Olympic super heavyweight bronze medalist from Lugansk Ukraine, definitely had the crisper hands going in the early going as he kept Brown at bay. Brown tried to return fire, but many bounced of the arms and gloves of the confident former Olympian.

The silver medalist was in control by the middle of round two as Brown just had no answer for the heavy jabs and various combinations behind them. In the closing seconds Glazkov unleashed an overhand right that twisted the muscular Brown around like tree in hurricane winds. Brown really backed up in the first time of the fight as the round came to a close.

Glazkov continued to pound away in the early portion of the third round as Oak Tree withered and was breathing heavily. The Ukrainian knew his moment had arrived as he stunned Brown with three overhand rights which landed flush on the jaw line. Brown tried to cover, but after four more unanswered heavy blows, forced Referee Benji Estevez Jr. to step in and call a halt to the bout at the 2:41 mark of the third round.

From Fightnews

Ukrainian Olympian and heavyweight talent Vyacheslav Glazkov (8-0, 6 KOs) has won a technicby third round TKO over Asker Balash (1-2, 0 KOs). The fight wasn't easy for Glazkov who was cut over the right eye in round one was a bloody sight. However his many powerful punches took their toll and Balash quit on his stool after round three.
