In a clash of super bantamweights, the former European champion Bernard Dunne (24-1) fights today against Felix Machado (25-7-1).

Here's a livestream of the fight, starts at 21:00 Ireland time:

Dunne fight

That's 5:30 Eastern North America time. The stream works best in RealPlayer (left icon).

Anyone watching the undercard, there is a GREAT fight between Henry Coyle and a late Russian substitute at middleweight. It's a great fight.

There will be a worldwide legal stream for today's WBA super bantamweight title fight between Bernard Dunne (27-1-2, age 29) and black Panamanian Ricardo Cordoba (34-1-2, age 24). Cordoba is favored to win.

RTE Livestream

Their streams are especially clear in RealPlayer, and also work in Windows Media Player.

It's an excellent fightcard, with Andy Murray fighting Spaniard Daniel Rasilla for the European Union lightweight title, and Andy Lee fighting Alexander Sipos.

Cordoba was down four times, Dunne was down twice.

Dunne won by KO in the 11th. Cordoba could not rise to his feet, and they had to take him to a hospital on a stretcher.

We have a new WBA world champion at super bantamweight, and he's the Irishman, Bernard Dunne!

Hock I don't know anything about this fighter. I usually don't follow fighters at such light weights. It is a shame that he lost though.

He has some very nice boxing skills, but he doesn't have a great chin.

Those smaller weight divisions are not really at natural weights for white men anyway. I haven't weighed 122 since I was age 12.

I watched him fight early in his career, and he has talent. He can throw. He could well be the underdog in his next big fight and win. But it looks like he doesn't have a good chin.

To make these weight you need a small frame and eat a traditional diet and have no dead calories. In between fights you have watch what you eat too or your weight will blow up too much for you to make weight for your next fight. Back when these divisions were dominated by white fighters they ate traditional ethnic diets and fast food didn't exist.
