Baseball/Football Halls of Fame - worth visiting?

Anyone here been to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown or the Football Hall of Fame in Canton? We have potential family vacations in the works near those areas. Would you consider those Halls worth a visit? Basically - is the history that's preserved in those locations enough to make up for the POZ/wokeness?

I haven't been to the baseball hall in about 30 years but if they haven't changed the hall take a trip to Canton as the baseball hall of fame is really a museum and as of around 90' the hall didn't have any modern interactive displays. Maybe things have changed but that same trip I went to Saratoga and saw the horse racing hall of fame and that was so much better with interactive displays and video of various races.

I have had relatives go to Canton and the first thing out of their mouths was that Canton blew Cooperstown out of the water.

I haven’t been to Cooperstown in decades but I imagine it’s still a great place to go if you love the sport. And now that the Negro Leagues are considered a “major” league you have the bonus of getting force fed problack propaganda.

I was at the Pro football hall of fame a couple years ago, I thought it was well put together. There’s so much history in those places you don’t have to get bogged down in the PC stuff if you don’t want to. Most stuff you only have time to skim through anyway.

A bonus with the hall in Canton is that it is not far from the Popular Music Hall of Fame in Cleveland (it is NOT a “rock and roll” hall of fame when Run DMC can get in but Ted Nugent can’t or Grand Funk Railroad, Styx, Journey, Bon Jovi, Iron Maiden, etc. but of course this year they will be inducting stalwart rockers like Eminem, Lionel Ritchie, Dolly Parton (who to her credit didn’t want the honor) and every rock fans favorite legend Harry Belafonte!)

I've been to the Football Hall of Fame, but it was when I was 10 years old. Over Forty-Five years ago. Can't remember much, but I know I enjoyed it. I've driven past it several times traveling with business associates of mine, but never have taken time to stop and visit again.

On a side note Abbott and Costello's Who's on First routine has been playing continuously for over 50 years in the Baseball Hall of Fame.

For those of you who have never heard it watch it on Youtube. It's hilarious.

Abbott and Costello were a comedy team popular in the 1940s. They made many movies.

Thanks for the tips, guys. Sounds like both Halls of Fame are worth a visit. All of us in the family are sports fans and I think both locations will be enjoyable experiences.

I went about 5 years ago when I was passing through the area. If I recall there’s a cinema area, a bunch of rooms for famous memorabilia, a room for bronze busts, super bowl rings, obviously a gift shop and maybe a couple other rooms that I’m forgetting. I enjoyed it from the historical aspect and a nice place to spend a few hours - along with walking around the campus, field, etc. As with most attractions like this i probably wouldn’t have been as impressed if I’d made a trip to fly there JUST for the HOF but since I was there it was a neat stop along the way.

another poster also mentioned the “rock” HOF which was cool too. There’s also the original preserved A Christmas Story house not too far from there either if you make that one of your viewing staples each year.
