Payton screwing Hill around is absurd. I'll be the first to admit I don't know if he would be the long term answer at QB (mostly because of his age/playing style) but he showed very well last year when he substituted for an injured Drew Brees and would have made this Saints offense that was inconsistent under Crab Legs more proficient. His dual threat ability should be something that is embraced and if Hill were non-white he certainly would be enjoying much more positive fair press rather than viewed as Payton's pet project.

I think part of it has to do with the locker room and part of it is Payton being proved wrong if Hill goes out there and puts up stellar performances where Winston was honestly average (outside of the Packers game) all season. Nothing against Semian - I felt he had his chance back with Denver and ultimately proved he was more of a capable backup rather than starting QB. Hill has (dare I say it) "upside".

I think a big part of it is he is coming off a concussion and they need to see how he is playing. I think Semian will be on a short leash.

I thought Hill still needed another week to get the cobwebs out, but Siemian is starting tomorrow, which proves Payton is an idiot or is appeasing the locker room, which seems to dislike Taysom. Either way he's a Caste Clown even when it comes to quarterbacks.

What's even more of a shame is that Hill likely wouldn't have even been able to be a very part-time "Swiss army knife" with any other team than the Saints. Though he may still get to start this year if/when Siemian falters. Siemian is what he is, a backup you don't want to have to use, while Hill is a "five-tool" talent.

Of course if Hill was an afflete he'd be gifted a Starting QB job immediately. No doubt about it.

I think he's an idiot. When he put Hill in last week, there seemed to be a spark on offense and they started moving the ball, then he put in Siemian again who was strip sacked and Falcons scored. The offense was lethargic until he came in.

Trevor Siemian is a great story. He was a 7th round draft pick and carved out a good career in the NFL.

But Taysom Hill has the possibility of developing into a top quarterback with his physical skills. Now, maybe that would happen or maybe it wouldn't but the Saints are fools for not giving him that opportunity.

It would need to happen now. He's 31. Winston out. Kamara out. Now a backup running back out. No Michael Thomas. The rest of the wideouts are pathetic. Their tight end Trautman has shown promise tho. They could make a serious run with a Baltimore type offense but won't do it. Winston was only winning due to a strong defense, averaged 185 yards passing per game. Moving to a ball control offense with Hill as a runner would be smart.

Saints WR room is beyond pathetic! Too bad Payton only likes having White Wrs as camp bodies.

It's absurd to think that teams will pay a guy big money like Taysom Hill only to shield them from becoming a star. Keep the locker room of premadonna guys
happy. Nothing to see here. The best guys always play. Yeah right. This league has been screwing our guys for half a century now.

I didn't know Tayson Hill's foot injury was actually a torn planter fascia. I hope it holds up tomorrow night. FB Adam Prentice recorded a catch last week. I was stunned.

Taysom Hill will be starting tonight!! The good news is it’s against a Dallas defense that isn’t great. Bad news, he’ll be without Kamara and 2 starting offensive lineman. I hope he tears it up but I’m tempering my expectations for those reasons.

It's almost guaranteed Hill will need to do a lot of running given the poor o-line and lack of receivers (even Adam Trautman, who was starting to rapidly develop, is now on IR). Gotta hope his injured foot has healed enough for him to show off his talents.

Adam Trautman, after a disappointing start, was starting to get into a rhythm with some nice catches. The catch he was injured on was very nice. I cussed a little bit when he was injured. :qmiedo:

Caste Clown Payton cuts a perpetually injured bum only to re-sign once again an all-time bust:

Saints waived WR Kenny Stills. Stills had recorded two catches since Week 9 and five all year, totaling 5/64/1 across 12 appearances with New Orleans. The team signed Kevin White to their practice squad in a corresponding move.

And Kenny Stills is the guy who dropped Taysom's pass which lead to an interception - a potential 10 point swing. Replacing one bum with another bum. The media loves to harp on Sean Payton's man-love for Taysom Hill even though he has refused to start him when journeyman Bridgewater took over the team and then again when perpetual loser Crab Legs came into camp. And once again passing him over for Trevor Semian - Taysom only getting a start after 4 straight losses.

I'm sending out positive thoughts for Ian Book. He'll need them. If the starting two tackles are still out, the going will be rough. Not to mention, one the worst receiving corps possible. Besides Ryan Ramczyk, the oft injured Terron Armstead is the other tackle that could be missing in action. Armstead is really over-rated. So, I don't know if his presence is all that important.

Book is mobile and accurate which should help in the event Ramczyk does not return in time for the game. Ideally they should call a lot of short and intermediate passes. I am excited to see him out there on Monday night.

Crazy. You would think the first person the Saints would look at for replacement is Dennis Allen, defensive coordinator.

Brees did for Payton what Brady did for The Genius.

Makes me wonder how the Saints will fair in the years to come. Payton was caste but had Brees and actually a pretty decent Offensive mind. I give him credit in that regard.
