I've seen this rodeo my entire life, here is how it will probably play out. If Clay is smart and I think he is he will just barely play the burr under the saddle, and then when it attracts the right wing naughty talkers to his brand with the "truth" he will sell them out in a fit of virtue. If Clay is dumb and actually believes in "Free Speech" he will get mobbed by the woke communists and lose all his corporate bux gigs.

I hope he plays it smart, instead of going the dumb route which leads to our disappointment Charlie Brown and Lucy style. Clown World's caste system bares its weak underbelly and the CivNats just pull the tail instead.

in france the most left wing parties have all disaproved of the censorship by twitter, despite france not having freedom of speech
the french communist party and cryptocommunist party "france insoumise" (melenchon) have slammed publicly twitter for doing this

https://www.lefigaro.fr/politique/d...tes-de-la-classe-politique-francaise-20210108

this is because they believe that the state should decide what you are allowed to say, not private companies

i have to say, these days i agree with the communist party and with cryptocommunist parties more than with the supposed "right" (there is no right wing party in france in reality)

So the French far-Left's issue is that Twitter has too much say with censorship and the left prefers censorship is dictated by the state? So they are statists. That's pretty flawed logic. Shouldn't they want to have no censorship?

Leftists/Commies have certainly become more and more outspoken against Jews/Israel. At the same time they seem to have no issue with black/brown hordes invading their native country (this seems to be universal). There is no outcry to stop third world immigration and islamification of Europe just like here in the US there is no call to stop America from becoming a dumping ground for Latin America.

just last month melenchon called for the censorship and arrest of a youtuber because he was making fun of his party, so he doesn't seem to care too much about freedom of speech https://www.paudal.com/2021/06/07/jean-luc-melenchon-will-report-papacitos-video-to-the-prosecutor/

in the US i suspect someone like sanders could have a rhetoric very close to antisemitism with talk about the 1%, apartheid in israel, the elites etc

I don't think Sanders is anti-Semetic but over the past year the far left has been more and more open and critical of Israel/Jews in the US. Several black media figures have been able to make statements about Jews/Israel and get away with nothing more than a slap on the wrist at most.

I do feel that the left is total blind regarding the 1% as in the US at least the far-left are the useful idiots of the elites. In any segment of society - Corporations, entertainment, sports, education, all levels of government have all gone full in on the "woke agenda" and the far-left Antifa idiots are the ones doing their bidding - not realizing that they are the agents of the 1%. Meanwhile most of the middle class here does not know how to handle this - many know what is going on but the do not hold any sort of power structure or they are already lost to the brainwashing that the media and education system have provided.

France: Woman arrested for antisemitic sign during health pass protest

https://www.i24news.tv/en/news/inte...r-antisemitic-sign-during-health-pass-protest

A photo posted on social media shows a young woman holding up the offending sign on which are inscribed the names of several politicians, businessmen and intellectuals, most of whom are Jewish.

The names frame the slogan "but who?" on the sign.

in france we use the words "but who" because on most forums the word jews is automatically censored, the forums won't let you use them regardless of the context (even to praise jews) so we have to be creative

so the sign had no reference to jews at all
