I really thought Porzingas would be more effective... he has all the ability to be a consistent 20-10 guy but he disappoints too often. He seems soft. And agreed about Boban - he always makes a positive impact for however many minutes he plays.

Porzingas needs to step up and toughen up.

Thank goodness they are finally using Marjanovic.
Probably playing him to help slow down Paul George.

On another note, why does everyone think Markkennen would be any different or better than Porzingas?
I'm not that familiar with hime, but isn't he the same type of player as Porzingas? A stretch forward/center?

I think they need more of a slashing, power forward.

I watched Markkennen play at the University of Arizona as I watch alot of Pac 12 Football and Basketball. He was a man among boys. Also Markkennen is a better dribbler, passer and far superior shooter
than Porzingis. I haven't give up on Porzingis but this series is more of a smaller mans series. Even the Clippers are limiting their starting center Zubac as the guards and forwards are the major factor in
this series so far. I'm not happy with Hardaway either. He should be playing alot better as he is a talented player.

How great to get Markkennen and keep Porzingas? Then you would have those two, Doncic, Kleber, Boban and Nelli.

Yes it would be great but to get Markkennen will not be easy as alot of teams know his talent level.

If the Mavs can win this series I hope we can see JJ Reddick playing at some point for the Mavs in the playoffs. His shooting can open up things for Porzingis inside the paint.

The good news is they go up 3-2. Carlisle doesnt play white shooters. He had McBuckets, Broekhoff a couple of others that were better even than JJ. I knew from day 1 he would ride the pine.

Huge win by the Dallas Mavericks. I'm so pumped up right now. They have shown the courage of a champion winning all 3 road games in this series. Let's close this series out at home guys.
So guess who was the star again? This never gets old. Doncic is one of the top 3 players in the nba. I think he is the best but no one can deny he is a true superstar on the highest level. :)

Tonights Stats:

Luka Doncic 42 points, 14 assitss, 8 rebounds and 1 steal.
Kristapps Porzingis 8 points and 6 rebounds. Very disapointing.
Maxi Kleber 4 points and 3 rebounds in 19 min.
B. Marjanovich 9 points and 7 rebounds in 20 min.

It was a great game WL. The clippers are a great 3 point shooting team. They can evaporate 14 point leads in a couple minutes. Luka has enough poise to weather the runs. He’s unreal!
Shaq is in depression mode.

Awesome game for the “psycho” Luka. One thing coach Rick Carlisle was able to take from the game 4 blowout loss was that Boban Marjanovic was very effective in the middle against the Clippers’ size. He played a strong 20 minutes last night, picking up some of the slack for Porzingis.

Carlisle definitely deserves credits for inserting Marjanovic, he was a huge boost for them in that 1st quarter.

Yes Bucky it was a very smart move. I hope this is the year that the Mavs make a serious push deep in to the playoffs and Coach Carlisle just might be the right guy to keep the ship afloat.

In my honest opinion the Nuggets should go all out to win on the road tonight. The Portaland Trailblazers can score with the best of them. Lillard is a true superstar as well. Not a team you want
to let get to a game 7. I know it's a tall task on the road but I feel a Big W coming tonight. Jokic will be ready to again prove he is worthy of the MVP. The Nuggets were so close to the making the
NBA Finals last year. We will see what happens in 2021. Either way lets get a win tonight. It will need to be a team effort for sure but they care capable.

Markkanen and KP are very different players. Markkanen is more of a SF that gets played as a PF. He has excellent off-ball movement, and catch and shoot mechanics. KP is more stationary, and wants the ball in certain spots. KP has no post moves, he just does a low % fadeaway from the elbow. Markkanen had a great post game, and could drive to the basket as well. KP has never really been that type of player unless the lane is wide open.

Markkanen can guard the 1-3 effectively and keep small guards in front of him (famously "putting the clamps" on Curry and swatting the ball off his head).

KP was a better interior defender and rim protector, but seems to have regressed massively in that area after suffering yet another long rehab injury, I think he is scared to get injured again.

Markkanen hasn't been the same player the last couple of seasons but I blame the Bulls coaching on that one, they haven't used him right, haven't developed him right, and he needs to get out of there ASAP, preferably to the Mavs to get coached by Carlisle and play beside Luka. KP getting moved to a team where he can be the focal point of the offense would probably be better for him.

The good news is they go up 3-2. Carlisle doesnt play white shooters. He had McBuckets, Broekhoff a couple of others that were better even than JJ. I knew from day 1 he would ride the pine.
I think he's injured.

It was great to see the Suns finish Lebron and the Lakers Playoffs Run. I'm not a Suns Fan but I'm so sick of Lebron. Seeing him get knocked out in the first round made my night. :)

MVP Nikola Jokic led the Nuggets to victory over the Blazers to move into the NBA Playoffs Second Round. They will now play the Suns. Now we need the Mavs to win tommorow night at home
and they can advance to the second round. I believe they will.

On a NBA Playoffs Note we have 2 of the top 5 scorers in the NBA for the Playoffs so far. Also 2 of the 3 other guys just got knocked out of the playoffs so they are done when they update this stats list.

Good riddance to LeBron. Now he can dedicate himself full-time to producing bad movies, building schools in his honor, and complaining about racist White people.

Game 6 is about to start for the Mavs vs the Clippers. I feel good about tonight. I'm gonna make a prediction. First off the Mavs will win. Second we will see Porzingis finally have a good game. I predict 20/10 minimum. :)

Lol, Ty Lue finally puts in 45% 3-point shooter Luke Kennard in an elimination game. He’s been completely out of the playoff rotation.

Well my predicitons yesterday all came true with true with the Hawks and the Nuggets both winning to clinch their series and make the second round of the NBA Playoffs.

Tonight not so much luck. Both my Mavs Victory and Porzingis playing well were wrong. I honestly can't believe a player of KPorz talent and ability cannot go inside more and get more layups and dunks. He is
not aggressive at all. Boban outplayed him again but they don't leave him out there long enough. Boban scored 12 pts in 17 minutes. That's amazing and he needs to not just start but play more. Even jacknyc stated
that around a month or two ago. I agree and especially the way Porzingis has struggled. Maybe start Kleber and Boban for Game 7 along with the normal guys. I believe Coach Carlisle is afraid of killing Kristapps
confidence but now it's win or go home and the season is over. Do whatever it takes to win on Sunday. What a horrible loss. Even Luka didn't play up to his abilities but he has so many guys all over him. He still
just missed a triple double and had 29 pts in an off shooting now. Can't complain about that too much. Tough way to lose at home. It will take a team effort to try and win a 3rd time in LA. Can they do it? Who knows?

This makes for a better story if the road team wins all 7 games anyways. This was not on KP he made several plays on defense and played a decent game with limited shots. Luka is the point forward with the ball at all times and never finds him in rhythm. You wont ever see this until you start looking for it as a possibility. KP is easily a top 5 white player in the NBA. A strong argument could be made for top 3 or maybe even #1 if he were not in this crap situation. Luka, Jokic, Sabonis, Hayward ( falling apart).

Leonard had an absolutely monster game, George played very well and Jackson made like 6 clutch shots in a row to keep them close early in the game. The Mavs cant make 3’s lately and its hurting them. At least Carlisle finally had the sense to play Boban who has been criminally underused everywhere he has gone.

Porzingas just needs to be more aggressive. He is a remarkable talent but seems so hesitant lately. Perhaps as time marches on from his injury, he will regain that confidence.

Luka going all “psycho” again on the clippers in the first quarter! An amazing interaction between van gundy and mark jackson. Van gundy says “don’t let his whiteness take away from his quickness” or something close to that. Next offensive possession Luka makes a great shot and Jackson says “it’s not quickness it’s body control” van gundy immediately comes back at him with “what are you talking about that is great explosion”.!! Jackson’ then reply’s “I guess you would have called me quick?” Van gundy replies “no!” Based Van Gundy!

Damn I hope they can pull this out! Porzingis and Boban need to just keep their freaking hands up in the air on defense in the key!! I’m going to pause it for 30 minutes or so I can skip through the gay pride commercials and black men lecturing people on stage.

It was great to see the Atlanta Hawks beat Philly on the road today. Bogdanovich had 21 pts, Huerter 15 pts and Gallinari with 9 points. They
now lead 1-0 in the nba playoffs second round.
