Things I am looking forward to this season:

How will the new talented generation of young white QBs (Wentz, Goff, Darnold, Allen, Mayfield, Rosen) perform this season? What about the greatest of all time in Tom Brady? Or what about the other proven elites (Rodgers, Brees, Rothlisberger)?

Will Christian McCaffrey or Rex Burkehead eclipse 1,000 rushing yards? How about both eclipsing 1,300 all purpose yards? Will Ryan Nall play any meaningful snaps by year end?

How many white pass-catchers will eclipse the 1,000 receiving yards milestone? Gronk, Kelce, Ertz, Thielen, Nelson, Kupp, Olsen, Beasley, Hogan all have potential.

I will have to confirm later when I have some down time, but I believe there might be about 18 WRs on active rosters to start the season as a couple of more have been able to latch onto a 53 men roster before opening day.

By the end of last season, we finished with 24 WRs that suited up at least for one game. There’s a good chance that we may eclipse that #, especially after once all of our WRs return from IR (Jordan Taylor, Campanaro, etc.) and others are promoted from the practice squad to an active roster.

How will elite defensive studs such as JJ Watt, Luke Kuechly, Joey Bosa, the Cowboys athletic LB tandem of Sean Lee and rookie Vander Esch, the #1 safety tandem of Harrison Smith and Sendejo perform this season, plus many other studs such as the rookie Troy Apke.

Who will be in the Super Bowl?

A Patriots vs Vikings Super Bowl match up will be ideal even though I wouldn’t mind a Patriots vs 49ers or Rams Super Bowl. The storylines will be endless between a Patriots vs 49ers Super Bowl (Brady vs Jimmy), and from an optic perspective, the 49ers are looking a lot better this year compared to last.

And last but not least, as a Miami native, it’s pretty ironic that I’ve been rooting for the Patriots for the past 16 years over the team I grew up rooting for in the Miami Dolphins. This season, for the first time since probably the mid 1980s, the Miami Dolphins actually have more white players on their active roster than the New England Patriots, and they seem to be moving in the right direction.

Just another reason to get behind them this season.....Because with their success, I will be able to point that out as a contributing factor to my many woke right wing friends in Miami. ;)

Here’s to fighting the Caste System!

I'm also a Miami native. It's pretty astounding that the Dolphins are actually whiter than the Patriots this year roster-wise. Because of this, I've been anticipating this season more than ever. I'm really hoping for a breakout season from Ryan Tannehill. I do believe it's imperative that he does well this year. As of right now there aren't any black quarterbacks in the college ranks looking to be high draft picks, but it's still early in the season. It would suck really bad to negate all the progress Miami has made this year only for Tannehill to be replaced by a black quarterback.

Good write up. I’m excited too for the players and teams you’ve mentioned!
