Still dumbfounding that he didn't get a pro bowl nod over BPPBs (black privilege pro bowlers) Fitzgerald, Bryant, and Baldwin.

Jordy - 97 receptions, 1,257 yards, 14 TDs
Fitzgerald - 107 receptions, 1,023 yards, 6 TDs
Bryant - 50 receptions, 796 yards, 8 TDs
Baldwin - 94 receptions, 1,128 yards, 7 TDs

Fantastic season by Jordy after recovering from the ACL and suffering from other ailments in 2016. And we all saw how great the chemistry between him and Rodgers is - Rodgers completed 65.7% of his passes (up 5% on 2015) for 4,428 yards (up 600 yards) and 40 TDs (up 9) with 7 picks (down 1) and a passer rating of 104.2 (up 12)

FTR Jordy played at Riley county HS one half hour from K State, you think those mopes could have sent someone out there to watch some of his games or that the boosters could have taken their lips of the blacks long enough to say we want this guy.

Chad Hansen is a wide receiver who was drafted by the Jets this year. Stylistically he compares to Jordy Nelson.

If given a chance Hansen could do well in the NFL.

Jordy Nelson, now 32, has apparently been abusing their black 33rd overall pick, CB Kevin King (a guy 10 years younger), during training camp...

"In a 2-minute, 11-on-11 period that matched starters vs. starters, No. 1 wide receiver Jordy Nelson lined up wide left, with King across from him. Rodgers hit him three times during the drive — on an out for 9 yards, on a slant for 16 yards and on a back-shoulder throw for a 10-yard touchdown — en route to the end zone."

Another article about King being "humbled" by Nelson/Rodgers during camp...

http://www.wbay.com/content/sports/Packers-rookie-King-humbled-in-practice-438603573.html

Coming off another dazzling season and now 2 years removed from the knee injury that robbed him of his 2015 campaign, the most important white outside receiver in the last 30 years should be atop the league-leaders in receiving once again. He's projected to be a top-10 overall fantasy football pick in most PPR drafts behind Antonio Brown, Julio Jones, Odell Beckham, Mike Evans, and AJ Green...

Best of luck to this former NCAA walk-on from rural Kansas.

What a relief!

Saw a headline that said "Jordy Nelson adopts SA baby." I thought SA stood for "South African" and I was thinking "please be White, please be White, please be White."

Turns out "SA" meant "San Antonio" and Jordy stopped by San Antonio when the Packers were in Texas to play the Cowboys to finalize the adoption of a White baby girl from Texas. Jordy and his wife, Emily, have one biological child but discovered they were unable to have more children, so they adopted one (White) child a while ago and now this is their second adoption.

Congratulations to the Nelson family. What a refreshing change from all the celebrity airheads adopting black babies.

Whew!

Now I like Jordy even more. He and his wife are actually sane, unlike so many other virtue-signalling white people.

Gruden has taken some heat for signing Jordy. Rod Woodson bitched that Michael Crabtree, released to make way for Jordy, is a better receiver than Nelson lol what a racist idiot. Gruden is taking heat in general for his remaking of the Oakland roster so far, most of it most likely based on the Raiders looking like they will no longer be the blackest team in NFL history though it's still too early to know how the depth chart and roster will look in September.

Jon Gruden pinpoints several spots where Jordy Nelson's 'it' factor will help Raiders

Scott Bair
NBC Sports BayArea•Apr 2, 2018, 5:42 PM

It doesn't matter that Nelson's nearly 33, coming off a disappointing statistical season by his standards. Expectations surrounding him remain high.

Count head coach Jon Gruden among Nelson's biggest fans. Armed with intelligence from receivers coach Edgar Bennett – he worked with Nelson in Green Bay – and experience covering him as a broadcaster, Gruden has great confidence Nelson can positively impact the Raiders' on-field product and locker-room culture.

"He can still run," Gruden said last week at the NFL owners meetings. "He's a guy we can put on the backside of (triple receiver formations). He can win at the line of scrimmage against press coverage. He's good after the catch.

"He brings a lot of ‘it' factor we need. He's unselfish. He'll block. He's excellent at uncovering in scramble drills. His work ethic and consistency is something that will benefit our football team. He's one of the free agents who will play a huge role for us."

Gruden has a point. Nelson had 60 percent of his receiving yards and all of his touchdowns in six games before Rodgers was lost with a broken collarbone.

The Raiders believe Nelson will fit in well and enhance the team while essentially taking Crabtree's place (and paycheck) on the Raiders roster.

"'Crab' was a good player, no doubt," Gruden said. "With a lot of receivers, sometimes a change of scenery is a good thing. I think Crab's in a good place. I think this is a good place for Nelson.

I predict Jordy Nelson will have an excellent season with the Raiders this year. Other than two games, Amari Cooper was pretty bad last year. Michael Crabtree is gone and Martavis Bryant may or may not be suspended for the season; regardless he has a lot of physical talent but a low IQ and is unlikely to ever realize his "upside." Derek Carr will be on the rebound after a down season, in part sabotaged by his own "teammates" because he wouldn't be a kneeler. Carr has only perennial underachiever Jared Cook to throw to at tight end, so Jordy should eat up targets both inside and outside. Jon Gruden will look to get as much out of the Carr-Nelson connection as possible.

Jordy should have at least one great season left in him, and he'll be highly motivated to show up the "new" Packers front office, which is going full-bore Caste on offense. I'll also predict that Aaron Rodgers will not be the number one QB in the league this year, as most so-called experts are predicting, maybe not even a top five or top ten, more like the struggling quarterback he was at times when Jordy missed the '15 season because of a knee injury.

This has been posted here before on more than one occasion, but really, can you ever get enough of the greatness that is Jordy Nelson:

Jordy Nelson showing no signs of slowing down, can “still run”

If Jordy Nelson is on his last legs, the Raiders have seen no sign of it. Nelson, 32, has looked like the Nelson who averaged 1,219 receiving yards from 2011-16.

“The thing you hear about is that he can’t run anymore; that’s false,” Raiders quarterback Derek Carr said, via Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle. “I can tell you he’s one of the fastest skill guys that we have still. He can run.”

Nelson caught only 53 passes for 482 yards and six touchdowns last season, and when he balked at a pay cut, the Packers released him. The Raiders snatched him up less than 48 hours later to pair with Amari Cooper.

“He’s wired in,” coach Jon Gruden said of Nelson. “You can see why he was a security blanket for [Aaron] Rodgers for all those years. . . . He’s proven to us he can still run. We can line him up anywhere we want. And he can run any route we draw.”

Funny how their is no mention of the piss poor Brett Hundley and how that was directly related to Jordy's decline in production.

Jordy Nelson is the kind of player the late Al Davis liked for his long ball offense.

Of course not. It’s just like Nelson’s production magically dipped drastically, all of a sudden, for no reason.

They just can’t ever call out a black player for being total garbage.

The drug-addicted, headcase diva, Martavis Bryant is apparently drawing the ire of Jon Gruden for his poor play in practice. He's also missing practices due to "migraines." It seems that Jordy has won the starting outside WR job alongside Cooper...

Jordy clearly "still has it." Check out this catch he made in practice the other day...

Nice video of Jordy! Of course he's still got it. Hundley is the one who has never had it and never will!

Here is why I think Jordy has a good year or two left in him after this season. He had a monster game early on catching deep passes. But consider this. In the middle of the season he was targeted only 12 times in a five game stretch. And he often was not on the field. I know he was banged up for a spell but even with that blank spot he has a 47-586 stat line. He already has more receiving yards than last season (482) and his catch percentage is the highest in his career at over 70 %.

I think he still has gas left in the tank. While he isn't as explosive as he used to be he still has the wheels to cause damage and he still has great hands.

If utilized properly I know it sounds far fetched but Jordy could have a 1,000 yard season next year if things break right. I think Carr is a solid QB and would like to see him and Jordy really connect in 2019. As it is there are two games left and since Jody has turned it up a bit lately I hope that trend continues and he finishes the season on a strong note. The Raiders have been in disarray all season long but with a strong draft and Jordy as a key component I could see the team improving rapidly.

Jordy has had to go from playing with a terrible back up in Green Bay to adjusting to a team in turmoil. Not easy but he is holding up.

Jordy is far from being washed up. Just ask Aaron Rodgers. Without his buddy Jordy the Packers have disintegrated. Which by the way was predicted at this site after we all got a look at who the Packers drafted at WR.

He definitely still has 'it'. Now, the question is whether Raiders let him do his thing or draft another diva for Carr to yell at.

Yeah Rodgers and offense have definitely not been the same since the team jettisoned Jordy.

I agree. He won't ever be the brilliant deep threat he used to be (which ended prematurely when he blew out his knee several years ago in a preseason game), but no reason he can't have at least two more years of 800 to 1,200 yards and a good number of touchdowns -- if used properly. The way Carr totally ignored him for the middle portion of the season was inexcusable, but hopefully Carr and Gruden will realize Jordy can still be a key player in the total overhaul of the Raiders now taking place on both sides of the ball.

The sentence I put in bold should read "While he no longer has blazing speed at this point in his career," but other than that it's a positive article.

Jordy Nelson plans to return in 2019; Raiders should welcome him back

by Scott Bair

Jordy Nelson doesn’t plan on playing until he’s 40. The veteran wide receiver won’t be one of those guys who plays until his body cries uncle, finding instead a proper time and place to walk away from the NFL game that has given him so much.

That time isn’t now. Nelson plans to return for a 12th season and his second in silver and black.

He’s under contract to do so, as he's owed $7.2 million in base salary and bonuses, though none of it is guaranteed until March 2019.

So, the Raiders could release Nelson without penalty, but that’s seeming less likely, given his quality production rate and leadership down this season’s stretch.

"I plan to (return),” Nelson said Wednesday. “It’s not always the player’s decision. Yeah, that’s the plan. We’ve enjoyed our time out here so far, enjoyed being with the team and starting the rebuilding process and being a part of that."

Nelson was acquired by the Raiders shortly after being released by the Green Bay Packers, and Michael Crabtree was sent out. The swap has gleaned similar production but a better locker-room presence.

Nelson and quarterback Derek Carr recently have been in great sync, connecting 29 times for 308 yards on 34 targets over the past four games. According to analytics site Pro Football Focus, Nelson has caught every catchable ball during that span, and he hasn’t had a drop since Week 3.

Reliability is a real asset in Raiders coach Jon Gruden’s offense, where receivers must be smart, adjust on the fly and catch most everything throw their way.

“He’s a good player, as good as you’ll ever get the chance to coach,” Gruden said. "He is so instinctive, so smart, so versatile and so team oriented. That’s why he is here. I think he’s got close to 30 catches in the last four games. He’s healthy, he’s learned our offense, and he’s learned how to play anywhere on the line. Third down or any down, he is still a really good quality wide receiver.”

While the Raiders certainly could let Nelson go this offseason (or ask him to take a pay cut), he could provide stability during what’s expected to be a positional overhaul this offseason. He isn’t cheap, but the Raiders easily can afford his freight, which is worthy of a quality possession receiver.

Nelson had a midseason lull, when a bone bruise slowed him down and the ball rarely went his way. He had three catches for 30 yards on nine targets (over four games!), leading some to consider him washed up. While he doesn’t have blazing speed, Nelson can find separation when healthy and is a friendly target when yards are must-have.

It has taken some time to get rolling, but Carr and Nelson have found a groove likely (though ultimately uncertain) to continue next season.

“Anytime you get new receivers and they’re going to be a focal point, it does take some time,” Carr said. “I would say that, especially when he came off his injury, he was healthy and we had a lot of time on task. Obviously, I trust him. He’s a great receiver.

"It was really that Colts game [on Oct. 28] where I felt like we were ready to hit it rolling. Then he ended up hitting his knee or whatever, and he was out. When he got healthy, just ever since then, he’s a trustworthy guy that does things the right way. Usually guys like that, the ball ends up finding them.”
