I'm anything but knowledgeable when it comes to running, but I thought this was an interesting article. I believe Jimmy Chitwood posted about barefoot running a couple of years back and this is the first article I've seen about it since. To sum up the article, the "100-up" style of running is much safer and has improved the times for many runners who have unlearned the modern style of running with cushioned shoes and have begun learning the old way of running with minimal or no shoes. I'd like to hear what some of our track posters think about this.

They practice barefoot sprinting in Jamaica. I know some other countries have done it on a limited basis. I believe it works. It builds up the muscles in your feet, ankles and cavs. It can help a sprinter to run faster in my honest opion. I also think running up and down hills can do wonders for an athlete.
