I read somewhere that regarding TV, the commercials are what is important. It doesn't matter what the programming is, drama or sports, just that the products advertised sell.
I have read that this Forum's favorite athlete Michael Vick (just joking), gets his enormous salary because the products he endorses sell. Since the commercials are what counts, it doesn't matter in the corporate world whether Vick wins a Super Bowl. It only matters in that this would make him more marketable.
Incidentally, do Vick's Falcons draw higher ratings than other teams? He is supposed to be more "exciting" than the old-fashioned drop back pocket passer.
