MILWAUKEE - A Milwaukee teenager pleaded guilty to a felony charge that he fatally shot town of Genesee electrician and boxing instructor Scott Huggins during a robbery attempt in March.

Antonio J. Jones, 17, accepted a plea agreement to one count of first-degree felony reckless homicide while armed, which carries a maximum of 40 years of incarceration and 20 years of extended supervision Thursday in Milwaukee County Circuit Court. In exchange for his guilty plea that avoids a trial that might have been traumatic for Huggins' family and friends, the district attorney's office recommended Jones receive 35 years in prison and 15 years of extended supervision.

The initial felony charges he faced were first-degree intentional homicide and armed robbery with use of force.

Judge M. Joseph Donald is not bound by the plea agreement and will determine Jones' sentence Feb. 7. Jones had been scheduled for a jury trial Dec. 10.

Debbie Huggins, Scott's wife of nearly 20 years, spoke briefly during the plea hearing Thursday and wiped away tears as Donald later re-read the charges against Jones. She said the plea agreement would help the family avoid the added heartache of hearing the details of the shooting in a trial.

Nobody, outside of his family and friends and immediate area, ever even heard of Scott Higgins, but

4 charged in slaying of Redskins' Taylor

murdered by his fellow blacks, that's all over the news. If they could have pinned the rap on White guys, the media and the politicians and the preachers would be shrieking about it day and night, and the cannibals would be rioting and burning and looting and killing and raping from coast to coast..

The killer is still getting 35 years, which is essentially life. He may never survive the sentence.
In many countries, including my own, he would only get a maximum of 25 and probably be out in 20. I would say the D.A. did well.

Don't worry, he's getting fine nutritional food and working out with weights, and he's with all his neighborhood pals, and free education, if he wants it, free medical care, tv, all the homosexual sex he wants - and they'll devise some way to get him out early on some furlough or work release program or youthful offender second chance program, or parole, or a judge will order him released because of prison overcrowding, or they'll invent something.
