So we have Jermain Taylor and Joe Calzaghe fighting reality show contestants instead of each other. Or Taylor fighting Pavlik:

It was reported by The Plain Dealer Reporter that HBO wants Pavlik to fight on the same card as middleweight champion Jermain Taylor on April 14. Taylor is slated to be facing Contender star Sergio Mora in the main event.

Pavlik fighting on Taylor's undercard instead of Taylor? Duh.

Pavlik told the paper that an undercard bout on Taylor-Mora was not the only possible route to the gold. HBO, and Pavlik's promoter Top Rank are also very interested in matching him against power-puncher Edison Miranda in June, with the winner getting Taylor in September.

Or, Pavlik could fight Taylor and then the winner fight the winner of Miranda/ Green. But I guess that's too sensible for boxing....

Will Taylor have a mandatory challenger after the Mora fight? Pavlik is the WBC #1 contender and some guy named Khoren Gevor is the WBO #1 contender. So how does that work?
