Steve Blake’s big chance

Was just traded to Nuggets, from Truehoop.com:

My knee-jerk analysis: This is a big opportunity for Steve Blake. He could
be running a really big show here if he plays his cards right. (He could
also become a bit player in a sad vortex of ego and off court drama, but
let's not be negative.) I'm optimistic for this team and I'm rooting for
Blake to blossom.

And for what it's worth, the second Allen Iverson was traded to Denver, I
said there would be a need for a real point guard, and more than one
insider told me to not only expect such a deal, but to expect Boykins
specifically to be on the move, because no team can afford to have the
league's two smallest shooting guards.

Do you think they'll insert Blake into the starting PG spot immediately or will he have to work himself into the rotation.

Blake had a big game last night, a career high 25 pts, 4 asts, and 3 steals. He shot 9-13 and was being praised by the announcers for the play. Hopefully he will continue to succeed.

Blake started tonight against the Jazz, and has been on the floor pretty much the whole game. He's very solid from what I can tell, and plays some really agressive defense. He has a couple of steals and drained some shots early on. He stands out among the Nuggets because he's white and because he is a very good player.

i loved Blake at Maryland. i never thought he got the credit he deserved. offensively, he's not flashy but he's capable of doing great things. he's a teriffic passer who prefers to create for others, but he can shoot if he has to.

defensively, he's top-notch. he has quick feet, long arms, and good instincts. he'll make you earn every bucket.
