Black QB Joe Dailey led Nebraska to a 5-6 record last year, their worst year since 1961. This guy must be atrocious because he was demoted all the way to fourth string after Nebraska's spring game last month. Such humiliations are very rarely meeted out to blacks; it's white QBs that can be dropped dramatically down the depth chart with no ramifications orfear of complaints about "racism."

Dailey announcedthat he's transferring to North Carolina. Good riddance. In spite of thearrival of Bill Callahan as head coach and thedepartures of Ross Pilkington and Dusty Stamer, the Cornhuskers are still one of the most white-friendly majorI-A programs. Junior college transfer Zac Taylor is now the team's starting quarterback. Harrison Beck is also in the mix. Both are white.

You have to like Nebraska with qb's like Scott Frost
and Eric Crouch. They also have had running backs like
Josh Davis. They do give some kids a chance.

Nebraska and now the Ohio State Jim Tressel days(defintely not John Cooper days) are the two most white friendly major college football programs.

Don't forget Iowa, Colorado State and Boise State. Callahan still bears watching closely. Let's see this fall if the freshmen and sophomores he's recruited are representative of the traditional mix at Nebraska or if they are starting to look more like the NFL teams Callahan coached for.

Sorry I forgot Iowa, can't forget about Ed Hinkle, Chad Greenway and the others. Though CSU and Boise State are white friendly they just aren't necessarily historically big time programs.

No doubt, the number of what we can consistently call white friendly programs are down to less than 10, with only a couple being high profile. Let's see if BYU with their new coach becomes more white friendly than they have been as of late.

Harrison Beck is going to be a very good qb in time He has a good mix of arm strenght and speed. He is alos the reason Dailey left because he would have been backing up beck next year.

..... and if you dont mind me reminiscing about that Nebraska 97
team... in the championship game against Miami with its immensely
talented Warren Sapp.... The OL of Nebraska, the QB Frost, all played
exceptional as they dominated the 2nd half and proved themselves to be
the best team in the country... Their formula for success was to keep
regional interest and loyalty peaked and harvest the the lions share of
the crop of talent from the sparesly populated but large regional area
around Nebraska (from colorado to missouri, from Iowa and the dakotas
to Kansas)...

Solich tried to maintain this formula, but the beating he got at the
hands of that same Miami his last year gave the amunition that the
suits needed to dump him. I recall that unctious athletic director
announcing the "new direction" that they were going to take... well
that polished and buffed lawyerly AD is now looking at a program that
is in melt-down as the meaning of Nebraska football as a regional
phenomena has changed dramatically. I think that AD (no need to name
him) has learned that he has given away the farm and rolled the dice
with the most valuable asset he had... the good will of the people of
Nebraska.

I hope they flounder until the president of the University in 2007
announces that Frank Solich has been appointed as the new Athletic
Director!

Jamal Lord was a piece of crap. He was the
worst successor Eric Crouch could have had. I know a big Nebraska
football booster who is upset about some white players treatment.

I hope that booster does something about it, if he can.

Matt herian is going to have a greatyear next year. Inmy opinionis thinkhe isthe best tight end in the league and was probably better then heath miller. He doesn't do a great job blocker but is one of the fastest tight end I have ever seen he can move like a wide out and has great size. He is a guy that i could see getting around 70 reception a year.
