Jim Mora has been fined $25,000 for using a cell phone during the Falcon's overtime loss to the Bucs. This bonehead was actually attempting to contact team officials to determine how a tie would affect the Falcon's playoff hopes. In other words, he was soliciting advice via cell phone on how to coach his team on the field!
Joe Horn was fined $30,000 for his use of a cell phone in a post-touchdown celebration. Horn stated that Mora should have been fined $30,000 as well, because it sets a double standard.
Well, in my opinion, Joe, you're wrong. Mora should have been fined MUCH MORE than $25,000. He was attempting to obtain information in order to use it to influence the outcome of the game. As the head coach, he should have known before hand the playoff ramifications of every scenario for his team, and coached accordingly. The fact that he even tried to make a call during the game highlights even further his ineptitude.
Don't worry Vick, your position as the quarterback of the Falcons will never be in jeopardy with Mora coaching the team.
