Anyone seen this documentary. I know very little about basketball let alone historical basketball. But it was very inreresting to see the racial element brought up. Even black players go on record saying that they wanted more white players for the league to survive.

No way would they have this discussion now.

The afroletes back then knew full well how lethal that Larry Legend was. You could've had a White NBA All Star team back then that would have surely whipped the bruvuhs. It would've included Bird, McKale, Laimbeer, Sikma, Stockton, Chambers, Mark Price, Eaton, Ainge, Jim Paxson, Mullen, Bobby Jones, Paul Westphal, Kiki Vandeweghe, Kelly Tripuka, Jeff Ruland & Thunder Dan.

In the late 1970's, the NBA was plagued by low ratings on network TV. It wasn't unusual for black players at the time to say they were glad to see Larry Bird come in the league.
