This guy can rebound. He pulled down 21 last night, blocked 8 shots and went 6 for 8. When he getsminutes he snags tons of boards, in the upper teens and twenties a few times this year. He never got time in Milwaukee. He would get more fouls called on him than anyone I've ever seen. Sometimes he would stand perfectly still with hands in the air and get whistled when someone banged into him, never caught a break. Hasn't always been healthy either.
If he didn't foul out he'd lead the league in boards but he's only now getting minutes. This is another white man's syndrome in the NBA. Shaq will knock everybody down but the only guys who foul out are white. Oh, and Joel's only 25.
