Below i will present a poor man's JC or Col Reb version of top players -freshman next season --from class of 2007. THIS IS NOT A COMPREHENSIVE LIST OF THE TOP PLAYERS BUT THE TOP ATHLETE/PLAYERS.
IN DESCENDING ORDER.
12-Adam Allen 6-6 WF-Fl.
Although one scout group called him an athletic dud he was injured the whole summer---in reality a terrific leaper. Should be a good one.
11-Cade Davis 6-5
WF--Okl
--fast and very springy and good all around player
10-Keegan Bell-6-1 PG--Vandy
Very fast and alert
9-Bill Cole- 6-8 PF ILL
Swift and agile
8- Matt Howard 6-7 PF - Butler
Quick off his feet--big shot blocker/dunker
7-Robbie Hummell--6-7 WF- Purd.
Excellent all around player and athlete.
6-Jordan DeMercy-6-6 WF- Fl. St.
Superior speed and 40 plus vertical. If improves fundementals a pro prospect down the road.
5-Lucca Staiger- 6-5 WF- Iowa St
Excellent shooter with quickness scouts assumed he did not have--joke is on them.
4-Nick Calathes--6-5PG--FL.
Tremendous player who is quicker than scouts will admit.-recently 9 steals vs. top competition --unbelivable passer.
3-Chandler Parsons-6-7 WF -Fl
Another scouts thought was slow. Turns out he has speed and hops and a great great shooter. Pro for sure.
2- Scott Martin-6-7 WF-Purd.
Quick and very bouncy and great all around with upside.
1-Kyle Singler -6-8 WF--Duke
More and more are getting on the next Larry Bird wagon. getting more athletic by the day looks to me like a # 1 Draft choice in the not too distant future.
