Can't wait to hear all the carping about racism after this one.



I can't believe he actually got it. I figured Willis would
get it easily; not because he's that much better than Carpenter
but because the Caste writers would be afraid not to vote for
him. I guess there are a few who still have some guts. To
be fair, WIllis had a fine season and it would not have been a tragedy
if he got it. In the end I bet it was that 3-4 game stretch that
Willis had in the middle of the year where he got shelled that did him
in. But who really knows. At any rate I'm happy for
Carpenter.

Carpenter deserved it all the way and if Clemens had a few more wins he would have easily won it and that goes the same for Kevin Millwood in the AL.

If not Carpenter,my choice would have been for Roy Oswalt.Willis is
very overrated.He didn't pitch that well in the WS against the
Yankees,that's where i stopped noticing him.All his typical arrogance
got him nowhere.
