The Huskies have had 8, 6, 6 ,8 ,8 ,7, 8, 7, 8, 8, and 8 starters since 2005. It looks like one year is missing somewhere in there.
They are projected to start 6 in 2017.
Randy Edsall returns to UCONN after his failed time as head coach for Maryland from 2011-2015. Early returns in recruiting look pretty pathetic as he has brought in three black quarterbacks - a juco transfer being one of them. This is on top of the terrible black quarterback that Diaco recruited last year. A really bad looking QB depth chart.
Overall not much to get excited about - there were a couple of white LBs who transferred out of the program so the depth there is a little in flux and now they only have one white LB on the roster - Ryan Gilmartin.
QB Brandon Bisack, WR Tyler Davis, DT Kevin Murphy are players to look out for.
