Since 2005 the Vandals have started 13,13,9,8,9,8,6,5, 6, 6, 11 and 8 white players. They are projected a slight bump up to 9 players in 2017.
This is Idaho's final season before moving down to the FCS level. Matt Linehan has emerged as a very good quarterback and if his progression continues he could build himself into an NFL draft prospect. There looks to be a decent amount of depth for the 2017 season which is surprising consider who the coaches brother is. In the Sunbelt conference this is looks to be one of the teams to root for this season.
Players to look out for include WR David Ungerer, DL Dylan Beeler, LB Ty Graham, LB Mike Linehan, LB Kyle Perry, DE Will Schmidt, DB Gunnar Amos
