South Alabama is transitioning from FCS to FBS and will be a full member of the Sun Belt Conference in 2013. Before examining them, I expected this team to be very dark, like other Division 1 football teams in the South. Turns out, the are. Their head coach is Joey Jones and he was an all-SEC WR at Alabama in 1983.
