Since CF started tracking Pitt in '05, they've started 8, 8, 8, 9, 9, 11 and 11 Whites. We'll be watching head coach Paul Chryst to see how many Whites he recruits and plays in the coming years. For now he appears to be at least maintaining recent numbers as Pitt looks to start as many as 12 Whites for the 2012 season.

Key White reserves are QB Mark Myers, C Artie Rowell, LT Zenel Demhasaj, RT Justin Virbitsky, and NT Jack Lippert.

Wow its surprising to see Shannahan in a fight for a starting spot. He has been Pitt's best WR the past couple years. I believe Chryst came from Wisconsin so I hope that he realizes that white athletes are just as capable as all the overrated affletes out there.
