Defensive Tackles:
couple of very promising young players in Carstens, Long, Kolodziej plus solid seasons by veterans such as Zgonina, Payne and Hovan (who is a huge factor why TB Bucs' defense was so succesful against the run this season as opposed to couple of last years)

Jason Fisk, NT Browns: 39 tackles

Seth Payne, NT Texans: 58 tackles, 4 sacks, 3 passes defended, 1 FF

Ross Kolodziej, NT Cardinals: 23 tackles, 3 sacks, 2 FF, 2 FR, 2 passes defended

Chris Hovan, NT Buccaneers: 45 tackles, 1 pass defended, 2 FR

Jordan Carstens, Panthers: 35 tackles, 4 sacks, 2 FF, 1 pass defended, 2 FF

Tim Anderson, Bills: 42 tackles, 1 sack, 4 passes defended

Jeff Zgonina, Dolphins: 43 tackles, 2 sacks, 2 passes defended, 1 FR

Brian Young, Saints: 51 tackles

Craig Terrill, Seahawks: 18 tackles, 2 sacks, 2 passes defended, 1 FR for 18 yards

Rien Long, Titans: 29 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 1 FF

Kelly Gregg, Ravens: 60 tackles, 2 sacks, 2 pass defended

NT: nose tackle
FF: fumble(s) forced
FR: fumble(s) recoveredEdited by: backrow

Kelly Gregg is a nose tackle who should get a lot more recognition than he does. 60 tackles and 24 assists this year, that's astounding for his position yet he does it every season. Casey Hampton of the Steelers, the Pro Bowl starter at the position in the AFC, has 42 tackles and 17 assists. Tackles aren't the only way to measure how valuable a player is, but Gregg is clearly among the very best NTs in the league.
