Here are 2 German Sprinters to watch out for this year.
You have Till Helmke whos website is located at
Till-Helmke.deHe runs the 100 and ran the 200 in
Athens. He gets better everyday. Then you have Sebastian
Ernst. He made the finals in the olympics in the 200.
Both of these guys have loads of upside potential. In
fact they both ran the 200 in around the 20.40 range
last year. That is flying and they will be faster this
year.

Dude,

Might as well link to the "athletes on steroids site". We've already dealt with Micheal Johnson here. He's dirty (or was) and only the foolishly naive don't know about it.

Here's what Colonel Callan had to say about Micheal Johnson in the Steroids in Track and Field, read on and get educated.

"I will relate the "alleged" (snicker) Michael Johnson story again. In '92, fans will recall MJ contracted food poisoning, and ended up not running as well as predicted. He couldn't make it through the rounds
of the 200, but did get a medal in the 4 x 400 relay. Well ... "allegedly" (I snicker for reasons that will be all out in the open one day) what really happened was MJ was popped on a random drug test. The IAAF/IOC freaked. They didn't want another Ben Johnson situation. So they brokered a deal. MJ would be constantly monitored. If he stayed clean, he could run. Any hint of further drug
use, out he goes. Folks in the circle say MJ's confidence went down the tubes - as did his muscular, ripped physique. Well, between '92 and '96, "supposedly", synthetic HGH (Human Growth Hormone) was added to his drug *******tail by his doctors/sponsors/agent. He became heavier and faster as we all saw in the Atlanta Games. His 19.32 200 was also the product of an illegally thin/hard track as well
as drugs. Look at the times of the second and third place runners - who weren't drug free either - they never approached those times again, never mind MJ. Sure, people will say it's made up. The folks at Track and Field News know all the details, but won't say a thing,
calling it all rumour. Sure.

You have that right Jaxvid. The truth is slowly coming out, however. Look
at how long we had to put up the stories about Carl Lewis being clean,
and everyone finally found out he was among the dirtiest athletes on the
track.

This weekend at the German National Indoor Championships,
Tobias Unger had a field day.He won the 60 meters nat'l
championship in a time of 6.60 to win a very close race
beating Sebastian Ernst-6.61 & Tim Goebel-6.62. By the
way Tim Goebel is a very promising young sprinter who
gave up track for 2 years but is back. He's still a kid
and ran a 10.21 a couple years back.Very talented.Back
to Unger. His best event is the 200.Tobias won the 200
Championship race in a new German Indoor Track National
Record Time of 20.56.He will probably be the favorite at
the Europeans Indoor Champs.coming up in a few weeks.
Tobias is by far,Germanys best sprinter at the moment.
There is alot of exceptional young sprinters rising up
in Germany and we could soon see them bring back the
memories of superstar sprinters like Armin Harry.

Tobias Unger won the European Indoor Championships
today in a new national german indoor record time of
20.53.That is really flying on a indoor track.Unger
keeps getting better all the time. The sky is the limit
with this kid if he keeps training hard.

Daniel Snelting and Stefan Weiser are two more german
sprinters to keep an eye on.Snelting just won the gold
medal over 200 meters at the Euro Championships.Weiser
won the 100 meters bronze running a 10.32.Germany is
slowly starting to get alot of exciting young sprinters.
Tobias Unger is the best of them all but many are on the
verge.You have Unger,Helmke,Ernst,Broening,Weiser,Snelting
and even Tim Goebel. It is good to see sprinting getting
more competetive in Germany.Keep it up guys.
