    Craig Sanders from Ariton, Alabama

I understand he is the projected top football player in the state of Alabama this coming year. He is 6'5", weighs 245 and runs a 4.6 forty yard dash. He ran for over 1,000 yards in only seven games. A two way player, he also had 90 tackles, 71 solo and 32 behind the line of scrimmage, not to...

    2008 Alabama Crimson Tide

I believe Cory Reamer will start at outside linebacker, giving two starting white players on defense. Yes, I know it's far from good, but it is an improvement over the last few years.

Wariner is a moron for firing his coach!.

I don't think Wariner is a moron, but you have to question his judgement in firing his coach because he wouldn't take reduced money. Wariner is not doing nearly as well as last year. Interestingly, the former coach had Merritt attaining a personal best time at the Olympics. Wariner needs to...

    400 meter sweetness!

I am also very dissapointed. Wariner ran so slow he was lucky to win any medal, much less a silver. Merritt ran a personal best, but Wariner should have been able to beat him regardless. A lot of things could be the problem, but I am guessing it is coaching.

How it started in the SEC

Some truth but also some inaccuracies here. Kentucky, I believe was the first SEC team to integrate its SEC football program and did so around 1966. Tennessee did so shortly thereafter. Auburn integrated around 1969. Alabama was one of the last teams to integrate, in 1971, but the actual...

    2006 Alabama Crimson Tide

There is a good article in the Birmingham News today 10/20/06 about Will Oakley. It says he is the second fastest player on the team. Here is the link:www.al.com/sports/birming...xml&coll=2

    SEC recruiting

Alabama should have at least one defensive starter next year, Bobby Greenwood who turned out to be probably the best freshman recruit from last year. He should start on the defensive line. I think another white defensive lineman may also start or see extensive playing time. Corey Reamer, a...

    John Vaught-THE Rebel Coach 1909-2006

Coach Vaught will always be remembered as one of the greatist of the great college football coaches. He won with class and dignity. My sympathy and condolences to his family during this time.

    SEC recruiting

Thanks for the thorough analysis, Colonel Reb. My numbers for Alabama were slightly different as I included the greyshirts (guys that were offered last year but due to oversigning caused by scholarship limitations paid their own way for a year and were resigned this year). Included in Alabama's...

    SEC recruiting

I was curious as to the number of white players signed today by SEC schools. I noticed Alabama signed 11 out of 26 which seems to be an improvement over past years. I think three of those were defensive backs and one was a wide receiver. I saw Ole Miss only signed two or three. Florida signed a...

    Clemson

I looked at Clemson's new recruits and I think of approximately 26 atheletes signed for schollys for 2005, only two were white. I think one was a wide receiver, however.

    General Neyland vs. Bryant, Vaught

I don't think you're giving Bryant his due. Bryant did have some great talent, but he was also a great coach. He won national titles in 1961, 1965, 1978 and 1979 and at least 11 SEC titles. They should have won in 1966 but they didn't want to award the Title to an all white team. Bryant began...
