Obviously, Whites do better at the weight divisions from middleweight to heavyweight since most of us are 160 pounds or more.

Three belts in each of heavyweight, cruiserweight and light heavyweight are held by White boxers.

I count a few more... (I've bolded unified champions meaning they have more than one title)

Wladimir Klitschko (IBF, WBO, WBA Super at heavyweight)
Ruslan Chagaev (WBA Regular at heavyweight)
Denis Lebedev (WBA at cruiserweight)
Grigory Drozd (WBC at cruiserweight)
Marco Huck (WBO at cruiserweight)
Sergey Kovalev (IBF, WBO, WBA super at light heavyweight)
Jurgen Brahmer (WBA regular at light heavyweight)
Carl Froch (IBF, WBA unified at super middleweight)
Arthur Abraham (WBO at super middleweight)
Fedor Chudinov (WBA interim at super middleweight)
Gennady Golovkin (WBC interim, WBA Super at middleweight)
Andy Lee (WBO at middleweight)
Dmitry Chudinov (WBA interim at middleweight)
Evgeny Gradovich (IBF at featherweight)
Vasyl Lomachenko (WBO at featherweight)
Scott Quigg (WBA regular at super bantamweight)
Carl Frampton (IBF at super bantamweight)
Jamie McDonnell (WBA regular at bantamweight)
Omar Narvaez (WBO at super flyweight)
Hekkie Budler (WBA at minimumweight)

In case you're wondering that means whites have a total of 26 titles, out of a total of claimed 87 titles, which means whites hold 30% of all titles. This is more than any other race in boxing currently. Whites are dominating this sport, and honestly if you look at the trends in amateur boxing, this is only going to continue well into the future.

Also, keep in mind there are a few "borderline" whites which I didn't include in this count, they include: Danny Garcia, Richar Abril, Jessie Vargas, Juan Reveco, David Sanchez, Jesus Cuellar, Jhonny Gonzalez. If you had included these guys, whites would account for closer to 45% of all titles.

Also worth noting that champions Andre Ward and Kell Brook both have white fathers and black mothers. So they are mixed. Some people might include them in this count but I wont. Keith Thurman is also mixed, not sure which parent is white and which is black, but probably white father black mother.

What's interesting is that you'll notice middleweight and above is absolutely dominated by whites. We have the best fighter in *every* weight class north of middleweight. We have 3 titles in all of heavyweight, cruiserweight, light heavyweight, super middleweight, and middleweight. (Though admittedly super middle and middle are fragmented).

Golovkin will clean out middleweight and will probably have all the belts by next year, and I fully expect Kovalev and Klitschko to add the WBC titles as well. So next year, I'd expect even more white champions.

The rise (or return?) of the white boxer must be the least spoken of sports story in the last 20 years. Most people don't even know about it! Even boxing fans still speak as if it is a sport dominated by blacks, like the comments Mayweather made a couple of years ago about MMA. He said whites created it because they couldn't compete in boxing. He said boxing was dominated by blacks and latinos. Even then, about 30% of all titles were owned by whites. Outside boxing, almost no one knows about the rise of European/UK and East Euro/Russian fighters. Imagine whites in the US started taking boxing seriously? There are so few white American boxers, but I think white Americans could whoop ass if there was a boxing culture among whites (gyms in white areas - managers, trainers and promoters who were friendly toward white fighters etc).

The white dominance in boxing is really something that should be looked at by BSPN or Sports Illustrated. The cannot shut up about black black quarterbacks.

The media blackout comes off as a coordinated effort to kill boxing. Not kill it completely, but enough so that money dries up and whites lose interest. Then it can be brought back by the usual suspects, who would no doubt not mind absorbing some financial losses in order to put things back the way they "should be" - in their minds.

The only people I know who seem aware of it are a couple of hispanic guys I worked with up until a couple of years ago. One of them genuinely got a kick out of it, the other I caught bitching about it, wondering if Europeans had somehow managed to "win" titles and were then avoiding black fighters. I asked him who they were avoiding since the Europeans were busy beating up all of our magical negroes weekly and all he could was shrug and then ask how could it all happen? I told him he should keep it in mind regarding other sports as well.

That, my friend will NEVER happen. Can you imagine on the cover of Sports Illustrated "White Men Rule Combat Sports!" No, it will not happen. Only if Wlad, Kovolev, Froch, Lee and GGG come all out a say it, will it get much press. Kelly Pavlik did it, several years ago, but MSM made sure not to really broadcast it with any real meaning. I believe it was covered by Ring Magazine, but I could be wrong.

Westside, do you have a link to what Pavlik actually said?

I believe it was the run up to the Hopkins fight. The subject of Hopkins remark of never letting a White boy beat him came up. Kelly countered in the interview, hey look how many White champs there are now. If I get around to it, I will search for it. But he did say it in a interview. Now that I think of it, he was countering Gayweather's lame argument that the reason there are so many Whites in MMA is because they can not fight. Kelly said, why so many White champions.

I think the site missed one hombre. He looks Whiter than 90 percent of Mexican and might be a full blooded Spaniard or at least a Euro. Carlos Cuidras defended his WBC 115 pound trinket last night....http://www.fightnews.com/Boxing/cua...ith-unanimous-decision-over-concepcion-285079
I think this site missed Juan Carlos Reveco who just lost his WBA flyweight title. Here is a photo of him.....http://campeonesenelring.com.ar/2013/09/entrevista-a-juan-carlos-reveco/
