Team USA plays Canada tonight 6:30ET, does anyone know if this is being televised? Currently team USA is 2-0-1 after tying with Switzerland last night. This U.S team has some great talent and future olympians - Phil Kessel, Jack Johnson, Blake Wheeler and Chris Borque who exploded for five goals the other night against Norway.

It's being televised on TSN in Canada. The Americans are the favourites, but they're playing in Vancouver so it could be a tough grind.

The U.S lost to Canada 3-2, that is a little misleading because Canada scored an empty netter at the end of the game. The score was tied with one minute remaining and the U.S pulled the goalie, they needed a win to secure a first round bye, a tie did them nothing. At the very end of the game Canada is skating uncontested with the puck towards the open U.S goal. In the backround you see Jack Johnson of the U.S and a Canadian smacking each other on the legs with their sticks. Suddenly Johnson cuts acrossand raises his elbow and hits the guy square in the chin, sending him into a daze onto the ice, just as the game ended. If these two teams meet in the medal round, I think we are going to be in for a treat. Team Canada was very physical and definitly out-hit us the whole game, however I did notice nobody was to anxious to get near Johnson. This guy is ready for the NHL, the Carolina Hurricanes own his rights and I expect to see this guy in the NHL next year.

They'll meet again.Pulling your goalie because you want to avoid playing an extra game is silly.Using the extra attacker is such a low percentage move that it's hardly worth it.I'd rather have your forwards go in deep and have the defencemen pinch, that way if you get caught you still have that last line of defence with your goalie as well as not giving up those long shots that go in from the other end of the rink.

Greetings Gents ! Happy New Year !!

Thanks for the updates on the Junior Championships. It's great to see a bulletproof source of white athletes with a great future.

Anybody got a picture / bio of Jack Johnson?

Not when that extra game is against the Czech Republic. The US had a difficult time of it and it seems to be showing at the moment - they're losing 3-1 to the well rested Russians in the 3rd. All the Canadian hockey pundits were in agreement that it was vital to avoid that extra game.

BTW the anti-American sentiment from the fans is probably the worst I've ever seen at a Canadian hockey tournament.

Vital shmital. If the Americans were that good they would have won that extra game, regardless. It's a catch-22,man.The Russians beat the U.S. and their well-rested if they lose their rusty and if the Americans win their battle-ready if they lose, which they did, then their battle-weary.As far as the anaylists go,they should be called over- analyists because they over-anaylise everything.

I'm sick of the canadians and their anti-american sentiments. They can keep their gay marriages, socialized medicine and inferiority complex to themselves. If they get attacked by another 9-11, who do you think they will be calling upon--the good ol USA.

No offence to our friendly resident french-canadian Lumsden Power. Just those canadians who boo when our anthem is played and some of the mexican immigrants in california who boo the USA soccer team when our anthem is played.
